Galatians 6:6-10
Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with
him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for
whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corrup-
tion, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap
everlasting life.
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due
season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore,
as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially
to those who are of the household of faith.

The only grandparent I ever knew was my paternal grandmother
who died when I was twelve. Unfortunately, she never learned
how to speak English, and we children never learned how to
speak our parent's native tongue, so there was little real
communication.
I remember as a small child, being afraid of her because
in her frustration due to the language barrier, she would
get angry and yell at us when we did not understand even
her simple requests.
It is a sad kind of memory; how I would love to talk to her
now and hear all the tales she surely had to tell, living as
she did through the turbulent years of World War II. So we
treasure the time we get to spend with our parents, building
precious memories. It is something we try not to take for
granted!
