Mariah Carey has a special guest by her side for her upcoming
ABC special, Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You: her mother,
Patricia.
Mariah will belt out Christmas songs from her new album, Merry
Christmas II You, for the show, which is set to air Dec. 13
(9 p.m. ET). It was taped at Los Angeles's Orpheum Theater.
Mariah, 41, will also have something to look forward to after
the holiday season: The singer is expecting her first child
with hubby Nick Cannon.

DiCaprio Finally Makes It to Russia, Donates $1 Million...
Leonardo DiCaprio was able to make his $1 million donation for
tiger conservation Tuesday after being delayed by an air crisis.
"En route to attend the Tiger Summit in St. Petersburg, Leo was
one of the passengers aboard Delta Flight 30," a spokesman for
the actor said. "He wishes to commend the actions of the pilot
and flight crew in bringing the plane to a safe landing."
The flight was forced to make an emergency landing at John F.
Kennedy Airport in New York after blowing an engine and dumping
fuel.
When the crisis in the air was over, "Leo signed a bunch of
autographs for the crew and the passengers," a source says.
"Everyone is fine."
Leo, 36, is joining heads of government from the 13 tiger range
countries in St. Petersburg, Russia, for a first-ever summit to
save tigers. Hosted by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin,
the summit's aim is to save tigers from extinction. Leo's $1
million donation to the World Wildlife Fund will aid urgent
tiger conservation efforts.
"He is doing great," a Leo source says. "Happy to make it to
St. Petersburg safe ? admittedly a little late."

Ugly Betty Actor Kills Mother with Samurai Sword...
An actor who had bit parts on Ugly Betty and in Step-Up 3D has
allegedly murdered his mother with a samurai sword, according
to reports.
A 55-year-old woman identified as Yannick Brea was found dead
in a Brooklyn apartment with multiple stab wounds early Tuesday
morning, the NYPD confirms.
A male was taken into custody and transported to Kings County
Hospital, and while the NYPD is not yet releasing the alleged
suspect's name, Reports say he is Michael Brea, 31, and that
he used a samurai sword to commit the crime.
Police confirmed that the weapon used was a sword.
The investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending.
ABC, the network on which Ugly Betty appeared, had no comment.

Kid Rock Going Country for a Third Time...
Kid Rock might consider changing his name to Kid Country: The
singer is set to make his third appearance on a nationally-
broadcast Nashville awards program this year.
Rock is among the first guests announced for the inaugural CMT
Artists of the Year. The singer, who hosted the CMT Awards in
June and performed "Born Free" on the CMA Awards in November,
will present one of the trophies to the 2010 Artist of the Year
winners: Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Carrie
Underwood and Zac Brown Band.
Martina McBride and Paramore?s Hayley Williams will share
presenting duties with Rock. And during the 90-minute special,
honorees will be treated to performances of their hits by just-
confirmed artists Adele, Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Maroon 5 and
Darius Rucker.
Song selections are hush-hush, but speculation is that Adele,
the British two-time Grammy award winner might perform CMA
Group of the Year Lady A's "Need You Now" since she has cited
the trio as a creative influence on her new album 21, due out
in February 2011.
Academy award winner Kevin Costner, who earned his hillbilly
bone playing the Grand Ole Opry with his country-rock band
Kevin Costner and Modern West, will host the show, CMT Artists
of the Year, which airs Friday, Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.

Date Set for Prince William's Royal Wedding...
Mark your calendars: Prince William and Kate Middleton have
chosen a wedding date!
The Royal wedding will take place on Friday, April 29, 2011,
according to the British Monarchy Twitter. It will take place
at Westminster Abbey, the venue for the 1947 wedding of the
then Princess Elizabeth, William's grandmother the Queen.
The couple, both 28, have received their wish to have a
relatively early ceremony. William is known to have wanted as
short an engagement as was practical, and they both wanted a
spring wedding.
Early clues as to the venue came only a day after their
November 16 engagement, when Kate was seen leaving the Abbey
after receivinga tour by officials.
Sources early Tuesday said that despite the fact it can seat
2,000 guests, the couple like the Abbey's "intimacy." The
palace officialshave also announced that the Royal Family will
pay for the church service, the music and parties. Thecost of
security, likely to run into millions, will be met by the
British taxpayers.
Meanwhile, the couple are continuing their lives as they had
been pre-engagement. Catherine Middleton, as the palace calls
her, was seen shopping at upmarket superstore Waitrose in
Menai Bridge, not far from the home that the prince rents in
North Wales.
It will also be a public holiday in the U.K, the Prime Minister
David Cameron announced. There is already the May Day holiday
on the following Monday, making for a festive four-day weekend
for the country.

pictures in private, but insists she will never find herself
at the center of a sexy photo scandal because she doesn't
include her head in the shots.
In a radio interview with media personality Billy Bush, she
says, "Never with my face in it! We got to be fun. We got
to keep (our marriage) interesting, you know?"
The couple wed in August.
