Johnny Depp stars as Donald Trump in comedic 'Funny or Die' biopic
Johnny Depp stars as presidential hopeful Donald Trump in a surprise biopic released Wednesday by Funny or Die.

The 50-minute long comedy special entitled Donald's Trump's The Art of the Deal: The Movie, is presented as a fake TV movie from the 1980s and features Trump attempting to purchase the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City from media mogul Merv Griffin.

The biopic receives its name from Trump's 1987 best-selling business advice book, The Art of the Deal.

Hollywood director Ron Howard sets the stage for the short film explaining how it was written, produced and directed by Trump himself before it was lost forever after it was unable to air due to a football game.

Depp is joined by a star-studded cast that includes Jack McBrayer, Patton Oswalt, Alfred Molina, Henry Winkler, Andy Richter, Jacob Tremblay and Michaela Watkins as Ivana Trump, among others.

Kept in secret for months, Donald's Trump's The Art of the Deal: The Movie was released to coincide with the recent New Hampshire Republican presidential primary."It was a crazy, completely nuts idea that somehow we pulled off," said Funny or Die co-founder Adam McKay to the New York Times who also noted how "with any luck" the special will annoy the hotel mogul.

Which Oscar nominee almost boycotted this years Academy Awards?

Actor Ken Watanabe postpones return to Broadway due to stomach cancer
Actor Ken Watanabe has put his return to Broadway on hold so he can recover from stomach cancer, his representative said.

The Oscar-nominated Japanese star of American movies The Last Samurai, Batman Begins and Inception had a statement posted on his Facebook page early Tuesday announcing his third bout with cancer.

"Ken has undergone laparoscopic surgery after having been diagnosed with stomach cancer in January," the post read. "His surgery was successful but his return to Broadway will be postponed."

Watanabe, 56, made his Broadway debut last year in a revival of the musical The King and I. He was expected to return to March 1, but his recuperation in Japan will push that back.

Watanabe was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 1989, but returned to acting in Japanese films in 1990. The leukemia returned a few years but has been in remission since then.

His Oscar nomination came as supporting actor for The Last Samurai in 2003. He was also nominated for a Tony for his role in The King and I.

Which Oscar nominee almost boycotted this years Academy Awards?

Sylvester Stallone considered boycotting the Oscars until he talked things over with Creed director Ryan Coogler.

The actor who won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role for Creed, discussed possibly joining in on the Oscars boycott while attending the Oscar nominees luncheon in Beverly Hills Monday.

According to Stallone, he left the decision up to Coogler. "I remember I spoke with [director] Ryan Coogler when this [#OscarSoWhite controversy] happened, and I said, 'How do you want to handle this? Because I feel like you are responsible for me being here,'" Stallone said.

"I said, 'If you want me to go, I'll go, if you don't, I won't,'" he recalled. "[Coogler said] 'No, I want you to go.' That's the kind of guy he is. 'I want you to go and respect us and stand up for the film.'"

Stallone is the only nominee for Creed despite the film earning rave reviews. The boxing drama also stars African-American actor Michael B. Jordan. Coogler is African-American as well.

"Michael Jordan, every time I looked in his eyes as an actor, I said, he was making me better. I think he should've been given a lot more respect and attention," Stallone said. "[Coogler] goes, 'Sly, just go there, try to represent the film, and we feel you deserve it. Eventually things will change.'"

In 1977, Stallone was nominated for an Oscar in two categories, Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay for "Rocky."

This year's Oscar nominations represent the second year in a row that all 20 nominees in acting categories are white. An #OscarsSoWhite hashtag brought attention to the issue on social media as various celebrities including Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, Spike Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Lupita Nyong'o and others have expressed their disappointment in the lack of diversity.

Some have discussed boycotting the Feb. 28 awards show. Lee said he wasn't calling for a boycott, but that he wouldn't attend the show.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences recently voted unanimously to make the voting members "significantly" more diverse following a statement from Academy President Cheryl Boone who mentioned in January that she is "heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion."
