'Lilyhammer' gets third season order from Netflix

Netflix said Monday it has ordered a third season of its Norway-set comedy series, "Lilyhammer," starring Steven Van Zandt. The E Street Band musician and former "The Sopranos" cast member plays a mob fixer who enters the witness protection program in Lillehammer in the Netflix series, which will return with fresh episodes later this year. "We are proud to bring back 'Lilyhammer' for a third season," Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix, said in a statement. "'Lilyhammer' is the type of global show that Netflix members around the world have discovered and love and season three will see that world expand even more."

NYC community board to consider naming intersection after Beastie Boys

A New York City community board said it will consider whether to name an intersection in Manhattan's Lower East Side "Beastie Boys Square." The committee is set Tuesday to weigh the matter, which would name the intersection of Ludlow and Rivington streets after the hip hop group, which featured the intersection on the cover of its album "Paul's Boutique," the New York Post reported Sunday. The idea was launched by LeRoy McCarthy, of Brooklyn, who created an online petition that collected more than a thousand signatures. "They [City Council] are knowledgeable of hip hop, a lot of them were raised on hip hop -- at their Sweet Sixteen parties and bar mitzvahs -- so you don't have to explain to them who Biggie Smalls was. They don't necessarily have the preconceived negative approach to all hip hop," said Israel Horovitz, the father of Beastie Boys member Adam Horovitz. "Any spot that's named for my kid is a good spot," he added.

'Partridge Family' star David Cassidy arrested for drunken driving

Former "Partridge Family" star David Cassidy was arrested in Los Angeles for alleged drunken driving for the second time in six months, police say. Cassidy, 63, was pulled over Friday night after he exited the 405 freeway in Los Angeles and police saw him try to make an illegal right turn, TMZ.com reported. The actor is best known for his role as Keith on the 1970s musical sitcom "The Partridge Family." Police said Cassidy allegedly smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. He was then given a Breathalyzer test and blew .19 -- more than twice the legal blood-alcohol content level, the report said. In August, Cassidy was arrested in Schodack, N.Y., for drunk driving, People reported. He was also arrested in Florida in 2010 for the same crime. After his New York arrest, Police Chief Bernhard Peter told People Cassidy "was cooperative. He was a total gentleman and didn't give us a problem whatsoever." Cassidy's manager and publicist Jo-Ann Geffen issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Saturday that said, "David just completed a stint in rehab and was doing very well in sobriety. He was in Los Angeles to attend depositions by Sony Pictures Television, respondents in a lawsuit filed by Cassidy in 2011 over what he claims are monies long due him from Partridge Family merchandise, home video, etc. After attending his and his manager's depositions, it appears as if the pressure led to a brief relapse. He was on his way to the airport to return to his home in Florida and to transitional rehabilitation. He plans now to return to rehab in an undisclosed facility."

'Baywatch' star Pamela Anderson remarries Rick Salomon

U.S. actress Pamela Anderson has remarried her ex-husband, film producer Rick Salomon, the former "Baywatch" star confirmed. The couple, who were previously married in 2007, but filed for divorce just two months later, broke the news at Sean Penn's Help Haiti Gala in Los Angeles Saturday, E! News reported. "We're very happy," Anderson said. "Our families are very happy and that's all that matters." Anderson, 46, and Salomon, 45, were spotted at a topless beach in France last year and when asked about it by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres in October, Anderson said: "I say we're best friends ... with benefits," adding that she didn't "want to meet anyone else."
