You probably have figured out that I am a huge sports fan. With the Chicago Bears disappointing the heck out of me it is really exciting to see my favorite baseball team the Cubs making it into the Playoffs.

Let's hope they beat Pittsburgh on Wednesday!

And I'm equally excited that the Chicago Bulls have their first pre-season game Tuesday night. I'll be there!

David Cassidy Charged In Florida Hit And Run, Prosecutors Say...
The Partrdge Family alum David Cassidy has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, the Broward State Attorney's Office in Florida announced.

The 65-year-old singer and former television star was also cited for allegedly driving his silver Kia Sportage with an expired tag, making an improper lane change and driving with a suspended license.

The Sun Sentinel reported the charges filed this week stemmed from a Sept. 9 incident in which Cassidy allegedly sideswiped a delivery truck, attempted to obscure his license plate and drove away from the scene with a flat tire.

Cassidy is due to be arraigned Oct. 27, however his attorney, Jason Forman, insisted the entertainer offered his driver license and registration information before driving to a hospital to make a visit unrelated to the crash.

"There's certainly a lot of major inconsistencies in the [police] report," Forman told the newspaper Friday.

Roger Waters Lambasts Bon Jovi For Israel Show...
Former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters disapproves of rock band Bon Jovi's following through with plans to play a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The 72-year-old British musician published a scathing open letter to the group -- bandleader Jon Bon Jovi, David Bryan and Tico Torres -- on Salon.com Friday, claiming they "stand shoulder to shoulder" with those who have committed violent acts toward Palestinians.

"You stand shoulder to shoulder with the settler who burned the baby...with the bulldozer driver who crushed Rachel Corrie...with the soldier who shot the soccer player's feet to bits," he wrote, linking each act with a corresponding report.

Waters is well known for his bombastic opposition to the U.S. ally's policies against Palestine, writing open letters frequently to entertainers who agree to performing in the country.

"I traveled widely in Israel and the West Bank and now nine years later having done my research, I have come to the conclusion that BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions) is the most viable, peaceful way to end the suffering of and forge a better future for, all the people of the Holy Land," he wrote in a previous letter to Robbie Williams.

The musician's latest letter is far more to the point.

"Having read Jon's comments last week in Yedioth Ahronoth, I won't waste my time drawing parallels with Apartheid South Africa and the moral stand that so many artists took then and that thousands are taking now in the face of decades of Israeli oppression of Palestinians," he wrote.

"So the die is cast," he added before listing several acts committed between Israelis and Palestinians. "You are making your stand."

Model-turned-actress Brooklyn Decker and her husband, tennis star, Andy Roddick welcomed their first child last week.

Their bouncing baby boy, came into this world last Wednesday.

The couple confirmed the pregnancy news in May via Instagram.com, when she posted a photo of her growing baby bump and added the caption: "So this happened"

Decker wed Roddick in 2009.

The former Baywatch star who has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a woman with a knife?

It's Jeremy Jackson... He is accused of stabbing an unidentified female when she allegedly tried to stop him taking her boyfriend's car from outside her home in Los Angeles in August.

Jeremy left the scene after the alleged altercation, and police officers subsequently arrested him at a hotel.

He has been hit with felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats, according to TMZ.com.

The 34 year old could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
The arrest is the latest legal trouble for the actor following a previous arrest earlier this year when he was accused of attacking a man at a hotel in April.
