Sheriff's Office: Video does not clear Justin Bieber of speeding

A video supplied by attorneys for Justin Bieber fails to disprove the pop sensation went on a wild drive, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office says. Bieber allegedly drove his Ferrari at very high speeds through the gated community where he lives in Calabasas. His attorneys say the video shows Bieber just parked the car after a friend took it on a joy ride, the Los Angeles Times reported. But officials with the sheriff's office said the video offers no proof about what happened during the drive. It shows a friend in the car, and Bieber getting off a motorcycle to park it.
At least one witness has reported seeing Bieber at the wheel driving around the neighborhood at speeds more suitable for a highway. Rapper Tyler the Creator, however, has said he was at the wheel. Bieber's driving has gotten him in trouble in the past. In March, he allegedly spat at a neighbor who admonished him about driving dangerously in an area with many children, an act that could bring a battery charge, and he got a ticket last year for making an unsafe turn. Eric Dickerson, the former Hall of Fame running back with the NFL, admonished Bieber on Twitter: "Hey @justinbieber I use to have a white Ferrari too, but I knew the speed limit in neighborhoods where kids played. Just to be clear, I think @justinbieber is a talented young man. But as a parent of young kids the reckless driving concerns me."

Comedian Jeff Garlin released after vandalism arrest

Comedian, actor and writer Jeff Garlin was released from a California jail following his arrest for felony vandalism during the weekend, officials said. The 51-year-old, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" cast member is accused of smashing the windows of a Mercedes following a heated argument with its driver over a parking space Saturday afternoon, TMZ reported. Garlin was arrested at the scene and released from police custody Sunday, the celebrity news website said. What the entertainer used to break the windows or exactly how were smashed was not reported, and the other person involved in the dispute was not identified.
