Damian Lewis The New James Bond?...
Could the next James Bond be a redhead?

One of Britain's biggest bookmakers has slashed the odds on Damian Lewis to replace Daniel Craig as 007.

William Hill revealed Tuesday that bets on Lewis had suddenly jumped from 25/1 to 6/4, putting the former Homeland star ahead of Idris Elba (5/2) and Thomas Hardy (4/1).

"This is an unprecedented gamble," a spokesman for the agency said in a statement. "For no apparent reason we have seen bets of up to £200 ($312) on Damien Lewis being named as the next Bond."

Craig is thought to be signed on for one more Bond film following Spectre, which hits theaters later this year.

Until Lewis' overnight odds jump, Elba, of Luther and The Wire, was widely rumored to be up next for the role.

Lewis' wife, actress Helen McCrory, had a small role in 2012's Skyfall. He joked to The Telegraph in 2013 that Skyfall's Scottish setting could "pave the way perfectly for a red-headed Bond."

John Hurt Announces Cancer Diagnosis...
British actor Sir John Hurt has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The 75-year-old actor, famous for his roles in Harry Potter and The Elephant Man, announced his diagnosis Tuesday morning. He says he will continue to work on his ongoing projects as he undergoes treatment.

"[I] am more than optimistic about a satisfactory outcome, as indeed is the medical team," he told the Press Association. "I am continuing to focus on my professional commitments and will shortly be recording Jeffrey Bernard Is Unwell (one of life's small ironies!) for BBC Radio 4," he said.

Hurt, knighted earlier this year for his services to his art, is currently working on seven separate projects including the upcoming Tarzan film and The History of Love, according to IMDb.

About why he decided to make his health issues public, Hurt said: "[I've] always been open about the way in which I conduct my life and in that spirit I would like to make a statement."

Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo Split After Nearly 2 Years...
Nick Jonas has reportedly split from his beauty-queen girlfriend Olivia Culpo after nearly two years together.

Rumors have been swirling the 22-year-old singer and Culpo, 22 and a former Miss Universe, were having problems, especially since they haven't been seen in public together since mid May, at the Billboard Music Awards. Both are currently in New York, but staying at separate hotels.

Culpo was reportedly "heartbroken" when Jonas called it quits. He was spotted eating alone in NYC on Thursday. In early June, Jonas said their relationship was "good," but said it was difficult to keep up a long-distance relationship.

"Dealing with that is always an interesting thing, but it's all good," he told ABC News. "We're both busy, and young, and enjoying life, so, it's going well."

Last year, he said his hit song "Jealous" was about Culpo.

??? Guess Who ???

The rocker and actress who was in the running to play villain in cancelled 'Batman' film?

It's Courtney Love... she was nearly cast for the role of villain Harley Quinn in the canceled Batman Unchained movie.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Director Joel Schumacher talked about his vision for Batman Unchained, a sequel to his 1997 flop Batman & Robin. In Batman Unchained, Love would have been on the silver screen with George Clooney as the Caped Crusader and cameos from past Batman films, including Danny DeVito as The Penguin), Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face. The two main villains were to be Scarecrow, possibly played by Nic Cage, and Harley Quinn.

Harley Quinn is described as a sadistic toymaker who learns her father was The Joker, setting her on a path for vengeance against Batman for killing him. Warner Bros. canceled the film before it could be made due to a poor showing by Batman & Robin.

"I think (Love) had heard about the possibility of Harley Quinn being in the new Batman and was thinking she would be good for it," screenwriter Mark Protosevich told the Reporter. "But we didn't really talk about that. We talked about a lot of other things. It was certainly one of the better lunches I've ever had in my career in show business."
