Good Morning Groanies,
Stacy and I are preparing to have a garage sale this up-
coming weekend. I never really realized just how much work
goes into organizing such an event.
You've got to do things like go through box after box of
forgotten treasures that reside in the crawlspace and
attic. You have to find some tables to display these
unique and reasonably price items to the public at large.
Also, you need to advertise ad nauseam the "where" and the
"when". Oh, yes!
Yesterday I went through about 80% of the mountainous pile
of potential garage sale items. It took up most of the day,
but it needed to get done. I found a few things that would
be considered hot-ticket merchandise at our yard bizarre.
Stacy fought a lot of great stuff to sell. She found my
baseball card collection, my comic books, that winter
jacket of mine that doesn't fit anymore, that chess set I
won at the junior high raffle, my over-sized foam cowboy
hat, that spice rack I made in boy scouts,... oh, and
there's those 43 stuffed animals I won at that carnival
across town last summer. Wow, so much great stuff.
Hey, wait a minute! Why are we only selling my stuff? I've
gotta look into this.
