THE DAILY GROANER - Friday, June 11th 2010

Good Morning Groanies,

I have to congratulate the Chicago Blackhawks on winning
the Stanley Cup and bring it back to Sweet Home Chicago
after a 49 year absence.

I'm a huge Blackhawks hockey fan. I've only been able to
watch the games on TV for the last two years. (They didn't
broadcast the games on network TV when I was growing up
and I've never had cable television until Stacy and I
bought our house) I'm sure that some of you are saying,
"Well, if you're such a fan why didn't you talk about them
during the 2009-2010 season, the playoffs, and the Stanley
Cup Finals?" Good question.

To be honest, I didn't want jinx 'em. I know that sounds
weird, but... when the Chicago Bears did very well a few
years ago and made it to the Super Bowl I wrote several
columns about them and bragged and boasted about their
success and future Super Bowl victory, and we all know
how that turned out. Plus, I had my vacation coming up, a
wedding to go to, and the fact that I'm lazier than a tree
sloth on a NyQuil bender. That's what I have to confess,
but enough about me.

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks and to the
Chicago Blackhawks' Fans for an unbelievable season of
non-stop, heart-pounding, adrenaline-fueled hockey!

Now I guess I'll have to watch my other favorite sports
team, The Chicago Cubs, until October. Ah, crap!

More vacation stories on Monday. Hooray!

Groaningly yours,
Steve

WAYFARER STYLE SUNGLASSES

Retail Price: $39.99
DEAL PRICE: $3.99

These classic and always popular Wayfarer style sunglasses
have never been more affordable. At $3.99 you'll want to
stock up.

They are perfect for the beach or any activity. It's the
Wayfarer Style... your probably more familiar with it if
I say Tom Cruise in Risky Business, The Blues Brothers,
Will Smith, etc...

Sunglass styles come and go but this style remains popular
and stylish. Two reasons for this:

1. Rugged and built to last. You won't have to worry about
anything flimsy or breaking off on these.

2. The lens color is very dark. It's so hard to find a real
dark pair of glasses anymore.

Drop them, toss them... they can take it! These will last
you a long, long time. To grab a pair or two, visit:

"Get this." said one drinker to his friends at the bar,
"Last night while I was here with you guys, a burglar
broke into my house."

"Did he get anything?" his friends asked.

"Yeah, a broken jaw, two teeth knocked out, and a pair of
broken nuts. The wife thought it was me coming home drunk."
