Good Morning Groanies,
My sister-in-law is about to have a baby, her first. The
moment that child sees the light of day I will be given
the official title of "Uncle".
I've been called: mister, sir, fella, dude, brother, son,
grandson, nephew, kid, buddy, friend, amigo, husband,
that guy, defendant, that tall kid, best friend, boy,
accomplice, special, lover, special lover, super special
lover, and spanky (don't ask). But now I will be forever
know to my niece or nephew as Uncle Steve. That's got a
nice ring to it, doesn't it?
I've been preparing for the special day, much like future
mom and dad, Jamie and Scott. I know my in-laws have been
too. I've already got a "World's Greatest Uncle" t-shirt
and hat all ready to be worn by yours-truly in the very
near future, maybe even to the hospital.
I know the important thing to think about is the proud
parents to be and their wonderful pooping, peeing and
projectile vomiting bundle of joy. Congrats!
Oh, and I am available to babysit. Do you think the baby
will like the OTB?
