THE DAILY GROANER - Wednesday, July 20th 2011

Good Morning Groanies,

I went to see my foot doctor the other night. This visit was to undergo a procedure to permanently correct an ingrown toenail problem that I've had for a very long time.

When the doctor came into the exam room he was ready to get right down to business. He sat there and told me what was going to happen and what to do after I leave the office. Our pre-procedural discussion made me very confident that I was in good hands.

Then the ol' hoof doctor told me that he had to numb up my toe, which I was very thankful that he did. So, as he's about to give me this numbing injection in my foot he says, "Are you ready?" I took a deep breath and responded with, "Let's do this."

After the injection the doc looks at my toe with a crazed intensity and says, "That's a really BIG toe. I think I should give that thing a few more shots."

I couldn't believe what I heard. I laughed out loud and startled the doc. I told him, "Wow, I can't believe you said that. Being a foot doctor you probably have a better chance of getting away with saying stuff like that. Thankfully you're not a proctologist."

So hopefully I'll get the toe back in three to six weeks.

Groaningly yours,
Steve

*-- What's That Smell? --*

Mama Mole, Papa Mole, and Baby Mole all live in a little hole. One morning Papa Mole sticks his head out of the hole, sniffs the air, and says, "Yum! I smell maple syrup!"

Then Mama Mole sticks her head out of the hole, sniffs the air, and says, "Yum! I smell strawberry jam!"

Then Baby Mole tries to stick his head out of the hole to sniff the air, but he can't because Mama and Papa Mole are both in the way.

He whines, "Jeez, all I can smell is molasses!"

*-- A Bear Walked Into A Bar... --*

A bear walked into a bar, slapped a $50.00 bill on the bar and ordered a beer. The bartender looked at the $50 bill, then at the bear and said; "I'll be back in a minute."

He went to his manager and stated what had just occurred. The manager told him to go back to the bar, give the bear a beer, $.50 change and strike up a conversation.

The bartender drew a beer, placed it on the bar, took the $50 bill, tossed fifty cents on the bar and said; "You know we don't get many bears in here". The bear looked at the 50 cents, then at the beer, then said to the bartender; "$49.50 for a beer I can see why!"
