Okay, here's the skinny.

There was a very bad storm looming on Friday. As I was
sitting at my desk, preparing to write my column, I
noticed that the sky was battleship gray. I freaked out
a little bit and ran out of the office to get to my car
and drive home as fast as I could because the sky isn't
supposed to be battleship gray, right?

Call me a fraidy cat, but when there's crazy weather out-
side I'm ducking and covering... at home... naked... and
in the fetal position... while enjoying a juice box.

A motorist, driving by a Texas ranch, hit and killed a
calf that was crossing the road. The driver went to the
