THE DAILY GROANER - Monday, Dec. 12th 2011
Good Morning Groanies,Do you know what "tree food" is? You know, that liquid stuff that you mix with water and then pour it into the base of the Christmas tree stand so that your Doug Fir will make it to New Years.
Well, last night I ran out to a store hoping to pickup some of this delicious tree food for our decorative Dougie, but I couldn't seem to find any. So I asked a perky employee, and when I use "perky" I hope you understand that I'm being sarcastic, to lend me a hand in locating the area in which this bottle of plant food resides.
After a few minutes of trying to convince me that such a product doesn't exist the vest-clad shelf-stocker asked one of her fellow employees if she had any idea what the hell I was going on about. She didn't. Big surprise.
Then, as I was about to give up on my search, another girl came up to our little think tank and stated this little knowledge nugget, "Well, maybe you could just put like a sandwich or something like that in the stand. Would that work?"
Thanks a bunch, employee of the month!
Groaningly yours,
