Good Morning Groanies,
I've been having a lot of dreams lately. I don't really
remember what they are about, well... one of them I
remember quite well.
I dreamt that I had been hired to work as Robert De Niro's
personal assistant while he made a movie in New York City.
On my first day I made quite an impression on Mr. De Niro.
I've never been to New York City before so I had a bit of
trouble finding my way around. Once I made my way to the
set I found Mr. De Niro and my day began with a question.
De Niro: So where were you? (Speaking much like his
"Goodfellas" character Jimmy Conway)
Steve: I had a little bit of trouble finding the set.
De Niro: Did you get lost?
Steve: Indeed I did, Mr. De Niro.
De Niro: Bobby.
Steve: What?
De Niro: Call me Bobby.
Steve: Really?
De Niro: Sure.
Steve: Well, Bobby, I'm really looking forward to working
with you.
De Niro: (Again Speaking much like his "Goodfellas"
character Jimmy Conway) Good. I'm glad. And if you're late
again I'm going to call up Pesci and have him straighten
you out.
A cold sweat began to cover me. I felt both honored and
terrified that Robert De Niro was going to have Joe Pesci
tune me up if my tardiness didn't cease.
Steve: Oh, Bobby, I'm sorry I was late. It'll never happen
again. Oh, I'm so sorry.
De Niro: Relax, kid. Pesci's great with directions.
Frankly, he's had to help me out a few times, and I
live here.
Then I woke up. What do you think it means? The consensus
here in the office is that I've seen to many movies.
That's very true.
Dreams are weird, aren't they?
