Kate Gosselin gets fired from Coupon Cabin

U.S. reality TV star Kate Gosselin has been fired as a blogger from CouponCabin, Chief Executive Officer Scott Kluth said Tuesday. "Some nine-plus years ago, I started CouponCabin with the thought of creating a single website that had all the best coupons," Kluth said in a letter on the website. "Along the way, we've helped our users collectively save hundreds of millions of dollars. A series of recent events have made it clear to me that Kate Gosselin and her contributions do not align with the authenticity which we set out to build almost a decade ago, and that Ms. Gosselin is simply not a good fit with the wonderful team and culture at CouponCabin. "It's with this that I am writing to inform you of our decision to discontinue Ms. Gosselin's feature blog on CouponCabin.com," the letter said. "Ms. Gosselin's contributions garnered both positive attention and criticism, but as always, I respect and appreciate your candid opinions, which often encourage us not to lose sight of our mission -- to help you save money. We wish Kate, her family and her support staff all the best." Gosselin is best known for her work on the TV shows "Jon & Kate Plus 8," "Kate Plus 8" and "Dancing with the Stars."

Bristol Palin gets the boot on 'DWTS'

Bristol Palin and her professional dance partner Mark Ballas were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night. "Well, we did it," Palin said upon learning she was leaving the all-stars edition of the show. "We made it to Week 4 and I'm happy with that and I had an awesome time and awesome partner and these are just great people and I wish everyone the best of luck." Dancers make it to the next round of competition through a combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes. Still in the running with their professional dance partners for the coveted mirror ball trophy are Sabrina Bryan, Kirstie Alley, Apolo Ohno, Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson and Emmitt Smith. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet are the co-hosts of the show.

Spielberg donates $30M to MPTF

DreamWorks SKG founders Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen are each donating $30 million to Hollywood's Motion Picture & Television Fund. Actor and director George Clooney, an MPTF board member and co-chair of the fundraising campaign, announced the donation Tuesday. The campaign was created to build the endowment and support the charitable operations of the industry's charity. "Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen are each legendary for their philanthropy and individually have made immeasurable impact on charities and organizations ranging from arts and culture, health care, education, film preservation and social services in our Hollywood community and around the nation," Clooney said in a statement. "And now for them to make this unified commitment to MPTF only adds to that incredible record of generosity."


Beyonce to perform at Super Bowl

U.S. pop star Beyonce confirmed rumors she will perform at the Super Bowl half-time show this winter. The recording artist posted a photo of herself on her website under the heading "Countdown to Touchdown" Tuesday. The image shows her with the date Feb. 3 under one eye and 2013 under the other. Madonna was the featured performer at the 2012 game.

It's Brad Paisley...

Brad lives for exotic Indonesian coffee kopi luwak when he's on the road, but doesn't like to dwell on how it's made.
He explains, "It's this really rare coffee that my band got me as a gift because we live on coffee out on the road; you need it... Kopi luwak is a delicacy... where, basically, this lima eats the coffee fruit and then craps out the bean and they harvest the beans from the floor of the jungle and make coffee from it. It's supposedly the best."

Brad reveals his pal Scott Hamilton, a former Olympic skater, turned him onto the odd coffee after trying it in Italy. He adds, "We ordered it, it's very expensive."
