ABC orders full season of 'Nashville'

ABC says it has picked up its country music-themed freshman drama "Nashville" for a full season. The network previously announced full-season orders for the sitcom "The Neighbors" and the political drama "Scandal." Starring Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Eric Close, Clare Bowen, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Robert Ray Wisdom and Powers Boothe, "Nashville" airs Wednesday nights.


Alley, Marini get the boot on 'Dancing'

Kirstie Alley and Gilles Marini and their respective professional dance partners have been eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles. Alley was paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and Marini with Peta Murgatroyd for the all-star edition of the dance competition series. They got the boot Tuesday night. "The second time around was very special to me," Alley said upon hearing her fate. "I learned more about dancing, believe it or not." "In the end, it was just an incredible experience," Marini said after being told he was leaving the show. Dancers make it to the next round of competition through a combination of the judges' scores and viewers' votes. Still in the running with their professional dance partners for the coveted mirror ball trophy are Apolo Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson and Emmitt Smith. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet are the co-hosts of the show.

Madame Tussauds to unveil Colbert figure

Madame Tussauds Washington says it has created a wax likeness of television personality and political satirist Stephen Colbert. Colbert is scheduled to help unveil his figure at the attraction Friday. Madame Tussauds D.C. said it is renovating its Media Room and creating a replica set of "The Colbert Report" where guests will be able to interact and take photos behind the desk, seated next to the figure. "It's ironic that the last seven days began with one of the most significant days in United States politics and today we are capping it off by announcing a wax figure of one of the nation's most renowned political satirists," Dan Rogoski, general manager for Madame Tussauds D.C., said in a statement Monday. "Stephen Colbert was an ideal choice to immortalize in wax and we know our guests and especially his fans, will enjoy stepping onto the show's set and interacting with his figure."


Tamera Mowry-Housley gives birth to son

Tamera Mowry-Housley has given birth to her first child, a son, in Los Angeles, the TV star's publicist said Tuesday. Aden John Tanner Housley was born Monday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, nearly two weeks after his Oct. 30 due date, People.com reported. The "Tia & Tamera" star married FOX News correspondent Adam Housley in May 2011.
