Shelton to officiate Clarkson wedding

"American Idol" alum Kelly Clarkson says country music star Blake Shelton is to officiate her wedding to his manager Brandon Blackstock. Blackstock proposed to Clarkson last December. or location of her wedding, but said she does have a dress for the occasion.

Report: MTV cancels 'Buckwild'

MTV has no plans to resume production on Season 2 of its rural West Virginia-set reality series "Buckwild," The Hollywood Reporter said. Shooting on the show was shut down after 21-year-old cast member Shain Gandee died of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning during an off-roading mishap April 1. At the time of Gandee's death, Danny Jones -- the mayor of Charleston, W. Va. -- urged the cable television network to cancel its popular series "Buckwild," stating "the show only enhanced the negative stereotype the Kanawha Valley already has." The Hollywood Reporter said MTV considered going forward with a second season after Gandee's death, but ultimately decided to cancel the show to avoid any potential controversy, as well as to recognize Gandee as the heart of the show. MTV did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the story, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Avalon remembers Funicello

U.S. actor and singer Frankie Avalon says it makes him smile to know his late friend and co-star Annette Funicello is at peace after years of suffering. Funicello, 70, died Monday due to complications from multiple sclerosis, a disease she battled for decades. Avalon, who starred with Funicello in a string of iconic beach party films, said he first became aware she had the disease when they were working on their 1987 reunion film, "Back to the Beach," but her condition only got worse from there. "For at least the past six, seven years, she was without communication. It was a terrible existence," Avalon told TV's "Inside Edition." "It makes me smile to know that she's up there dancing and singing and having a good time."

No more 'Dancing' for Lisa Vanderpump

Reality TV personality Lisa Vanderpump was eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday night. Vanderpump got the boot thanks to a combination of low judges' scores and viewer votes after she performed while battling a viral infection. Asked if she was happy she went on the show, Vanderpump replied: "Just to be included with this group of people -- gold medalists, Olympians, but, most importantly, just a wonderful bunch of people. Yes, I am really happy. It's been six long weeks, I have to say. Boy, has it taken its toll. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. But I was given a gift, dancing with [my professional dance partner Gleb [Savchenko.] He was so patient. I just really want to thank my cast-mates because they have been amazing and made it so much fun, so, thank you." Still in the running for the mirror ball trophy, along with their professional dance partners, are singer Kellie Pickler, comedians Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley, boxer Victor Ortiz, soap star Ingo Rademacher, Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and NFL star Jacoby Jones. Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet are co-hosts of the show.
