Hello Animal lovers,

The cuttlefish is a type of squid that is one of the most interesting sea creatures I have read about. They are smaller than most in the tentacled family, and are eaten in many parts of the world (no thank you) And they can be kinda cute.

These little guys are master camouflage artists, even though they cannot actually perceive color. They have other ways of detecting and matching their surroundings, but it has nothing to do with the animal deciding it wants to look green. Not only can they change color, but they can adjust shininess, texture, and even other physical characteristics. Smaller cuttlefish have even been known to pose as females in order to slip by larger, more aggressive males during mating season.

Today's video is a cool example of camouflaging in action!
