*** A WORD FROM THE KITCHEN ***
I had a very very relaxed Thanksgiving with the family
and I hope everyone enjoyed theirs and has a nice long
weekend. I will not be among those battling the crowds
for sales but good luck with that if you do. I'm all
about leftovers and changing things up from just the
turkey sandwiches. Here's an awesome turkey leftovers
recipe for CREAMY TURKEY SOUP. Just be careful not to
let those leftovers sit too long in the fridge I
included some guidelines below, however when in doubt
throw it out.
Enjoy!

MARZEE'S CORNER
Your FRIDGE IS NOT A MAGIC BOX!
Just because you put something in there does not mean
it will be good forever. After all of the time spent
from cooking the food to entertaining and visiting we
can be a little groggy by the time the food is put away
and can have a tendency to overdo it on just how long
things are left in the refrigerator. So to play it safe
if you're not going to use something within a few days
you should freeze it immediately. Here is an idea of
how long food can last and it is only a few days to a
week at most...how far off were you last year?
ESTIMATED LEFTOVERS STORAGE TIME IN THE REFRIGERATOR
Cooked Food Item Refrigerator Storage Time
Roast turkey 3 to 4 days
