Connor Cruise says relationship with mom Nicole Kidman is 'solid'

Connor Cruise slammed rumors that he had a troubled relationship with his mother Nicole Kidman telling Woman's Day Australia that family always comes first. The 19-year- old aspiring DJ and his sister, Isabella, famously decided to stay with with their father, Tom Cruise, following his 2001 divorce from Kidman. But in spite the fact that they don't live together Cruise says he has finally reconnected with his mother. "I love my mom," Cruise told Woman's Daily. "I don't care what people say, I know that me and Mom are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything. Yeah, I love my music, but the family comes before everything else."
During a 2007 interview for the UK's GMTV show, Kidam revealed that her kids with Tom Cruise didn't call her "Mommy," which she didn't like. "They don't even call me mom," Kidman said at the time. "They call me Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for it." "They live with Tom, which was their choice," she told Hello! in 2010. "I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?" Kidman currently lives part time in Sydney, Australia, and Nashville, Tenn. along with husband Keith Urban and the pair's two children: Sunday Urban, 5, and Faith Urban, 3.


Savannah Guthrie announces pregnancy at wedding

Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie got married this weekend and revealed a big surprise to guests -- she's four months pregnant. "We are four months pregnant. We are so excited, overjoyed and feel so blessed," she said, already back at work Monday. "We set the wedding date, I bought my dress, and then I found out," she added. "So I did a little praying." I feel great, and actually I'm so happy to tell the world. Because I can't suck in this gut anymore." The 42 year old said she and new husband Mike Feldman expect the bundle of joy to make his or her arrival in late summer. The two married over the weekend near her hometown of Tucson, Ariz., in the middle of the desert. "It was beautiful; just everything I could have dreamed," Guthrie said. Her fellow Today show crew were in attendance, and Al Roker even posted selfie proof on Twitter.

Wayne Knight: I'm not dead!

Seinfeld and Jurassic Park actor Wayne Knight took to Twitter on Sunday to dispel rumors he died in a traffic accident. Reports surfaced that Knight, famous for playing the despised Newman on Seinfeld, died in an accident near the New York-Pennsylvania border. Luckily for his fans, that wasn't the case. "Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed . but I am alive and well!" he tweeted, along with a handful of other posts. Some of you will be glad to hear this, others strangely disappointed, but..I am alive and well! Knight also took a moment to express sympathy for a New York woman who did die in the Thursday traffic accident that spurred the rumors.
Regrets to my friends and family who were shocked this morning and the family of the woman who actually died in my "supposed" accident.

It's William Shatner!

William Shatner to star in his own home renovation series

William Shatner will star in his own home renovation show on the DIY network.

Well-known for his roles as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek TV series and the eponymous character of T.J. Hooker, the 82- year-old actor will take up saws and hammers instead of phasers and revolvers for the upcoming series. "[Sgt.Hooker] could handle a gun," Shatner joked. "But I don't know about a hammer." The show will consist of five 30-minute episodes and will be titled The Shatner Project. The series will follow the actor and his wife Elizabeth as they renovate their home and lead their day-to-day lives. "This is like a dramatic show with a revelation at the end," Shatner said. "There's conflict and there's tension, and characters evolve." Media conglomerate Scripps owns the DIY channel, along with Food Network and HGTV. Many unknowns have come to fame on various shows on the networks, but Scripps president Kathleen Finch said the company is also keen on well-known personalities. "If they are people that America is generally curious about, we are even more interested," Finch said. Vanilla Ice, Rev. Run and Daryl Hall are other celebrities with recent or upcoming shows on DIY and HGTV. The Shatner Project will debut in October of this year.
