Good morning crew,

When those weather guys say 30 percent chance of thunder
storms, they are not goofing around about that 30 percent!

Last Friday morning looked to be such a gorgeous day that
I decided to take the motorcycle to work. But being the
cautious rider that I am I made sure to check the weather
forecast first. It read 30 percent chance late in the after-
noon. Looking at that gorgeous blue sky in the morning it
was difficult to imagine it getting very ugly.

Flash forward to about four in the afternoon. The sky had
that sickly green color when you know something apocalyptic
is about to happen. So I had two choices...stay at the
office until who knows how late at night (on a Friday night
no less), or leave work early and try and beat the storm
home.

I'll give you one good guess which choice I opted for.

I made it all the way to 159th street before it started
coming down. I live on 137th. That's 22 blocks. And it
started coming down in buckets. But the rain wasn't the
worst of it. I've ridden in all sorts of rain before. It
was the wind that was really dangerous. I read weather
reports afterward which said the wind was blowing up to
70 miles-per-hour.

It felt like a big hand was trying to push me over on the
bike. And other drivers were swerving all over the lane.
At one point I actually saw the wind whip up a six or ten
foot cyclone in the street right in front of me! It was
nerve wracking to say the least.

It took me about 15 minutes to drive that last three miles,
crawling along in the right-hand lane with my head down.
If I had just left work ten minutes earlier I would have
missed all of it.

Laugh it up,

Joe

A woman walked into the elevator tossing her keys up in the
air and catching them. After one too many tosses, she dropped
the keys, and we watched as they disappeared into the crack
between the open doors and the floor.

I felt terrible for her. Or I did until she cried, "Oh no!
Not again!"

*-------------- Guaranteed to Roll Your Eyes ---------------*

I was driving around and around a parking garage in search of
an available space. Nothing. Then I noticed a couple walking
ahead of me.

"Going out?" I called to them hopefully.

"No," said the man. "Just friends."
