Tuesday, May 29, 2012Good morning crew,
Summer kicked off (unofficially) with a broil. It hit 96 degrees where I was out in the burbs. That didn't stop me from going out for a little run. We are going to Hawaii in three weeks and this is my last chance to get in some kind of beach shape.
I did just under three miles. That is pretty good for the weather and the shape I am in. I probably lost a good pint or two of water in that heat, but fortunately I replaced it with beer later on in the evening.
The only other thing I worked on this weekend was the guest list. This has turned into the biggest single project of the entire wedding. I have an entire binder just for keeping track of the guest list.
And it is not even done. Now comes the fun task of arranging everybody. I'm thinking about doing it alphabetically. Not only will it be easier for me, but it should also make for some interesting dinner partners.
Laugh it up,
Joe

***One snowy evening my brother, a regional police officer, stopped a car at a roadside check for drunk drivers. "Good evening, ma'am," he greeted the lady. "How are you this evening?"
"Fine, thank you," she replied.
My brother continued, "Anything to drink this evening?"
Surprised, the lady answered, "Uh...no, thank you."
