Good morning crew,
After dropping a hundred and thirty bucks repairing my garage
door motor last week I have been on a severely restricted
budget. No eating out, no instant lottery tickets, I haven't
even been hanging out at the bar. At least all of my bills
are paid. But tonight everyone is going out for a few, so I
feel socially obligated to allocate a portion of my meager
resources to entertainment. After that I only have to coast
three days until payday.
That is how budgeting works.
If I can live within my means, why can't the federal
government, which is supposedly made up of legislators who
are a lot smarter than me?
I just read that February's deficit totaled $220.9 billion,
14 percent higher than the previous record set in February
of last year.
Maybe the federal government needs to stop eating out and
buying lottery tickets.
Of course, I am not building governments in two foreign
countries. I am, however, having a disagreement with the
little old lady who lives in the condo below mine, but I
doubt that's nearly as expensive.
