Janet Jackson: Wedding was quiet, private

U.S. pop star Janet Jackson confirmed Monday she married Qatari businessman Wissam Al Mana last year. "The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year, we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony," the couple said in an exclusive statement to TV's "Entertainment Tonight." "Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children's charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy." No other details about the ceremony, such as where and when it took place, were immediately reported. Janet Jackson is a member of the Jackson musical dynasty, which included the late recording star Michael Jackson. Brothers Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Jackie still perform together.

Oprah appears in Kimmel's star-studded trailer for faux 'Movie: The Movie 2V' sequel

Oprah Winfrey appeared in the star-studded trailer for "Movie: The Movie 2V," which premiered during Jimmy Kimmel's after-Oscars special in Los Angeles. Before introducing the new clip, Kimmel noted last year's fake trailer for "Movie: The Movie" -- the trailer for "the greatest motion picture ever not made" -- had been viewed online tens of millions of times. "When you have a big success in Hollywood, the only reasonable thing you can do is cheapen it with a sequel," he said. The 2013 followup featured sexy zombies, vampires and mummies, as well as A-list celebrities such as Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Jessica Chastain, Channing Tatum, Rachel Weisz, John Krasinski, Amanda Seyfried, Bryan Cranston, Jude Law, Gerard Butler, Wolf Blitzer, Bradley Cooper, Halle Berry, Bruno Mars and Jason Schwartzman.

"We're going to actually have the baby in London while I'm shooting, so there will be no downtime whatsoever after that," Tatum told E! interviewer Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at the Oscars Sunday night. Tatum didn't say what project will take him to the United Kingdom. People magazine's 2012 Sexiest Man Alive appeared on stage at the Oscars in a musical number with actress Charlize Theron. His wife was recently seen on TV's "American Horror Story."

Ben Affleck shaves beard

Actor-director-producer Ben Affleck shaved his beard off at a West Hollywood Oscar party after his film "Argo" won the top prize of Best Picture, E! News said. "He did it to mark the end of a chapter. It had that ceremonial quality to it," an insider told E! The shearing took place at Craig's restaurant Sunday night. Guess Who?
It's Dennis Rodman

A delegation of 13 Harlem Globetrotters led by Dennis Rodman arrived in North Korea Tuesday for a weeklong visit and planned exhibition games, officials said. The group of basketball players was welcomed by several North Korean senior sports officials at the airport in Pyongyang, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported. "All the players are so excited to visit the country, and it will be a great fun in interacting with the Korean people," Rodman told Xinhua. The basketball players were invited to visit a month ago. It is the Harlem Globetrotters' 122nd stop on their current world tour, player Bull Bullard said. "We are expecting to have great exchanges with the Korean kids and families which, we always love, no matter South or North," Bullard said. "We are going to have big smiles and many handshakes and lots of entertainment with them," he added. The number of exhibition matches the Globetrotters will perform was not
reported. Besides the sports events, the group is scheduled to visit Panmunjom on the border with South Korea and the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun in Pyongyang, the North Korean foreign ministry reported.
