Former Police Chief Reveals He Would Reopen Kurt Cobain Investigation...
If Norm Stamper was still chief of police, he says he would reopen the investigation into Kurt Cobain's mysterious death.
A new unauthorized Benjamin Statle-directed documentary called Soaked In Bleach speculates on alternative events that may have led to the Nirvana frontman's death-ruled-suicide, suggesting his wife Courtney Love's involvement.
"We should in fact have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behavior of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead," Stamper says in the film. "If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that. That was in fact our responsibility."
Stamper was chief of police for the Seattle Police Dept. between 1994 and 2000. Cobain's body was found in April of Stamper's first year in the position.
"I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would reopen this investigation," he says when faced with the question of whether or not the initial investigation was thorough enough.
Soaked in Bleach comes out just following the airing of Montage of Heck -- an authorized documentary co-produced by Cobain's daughter, Francis Bean -- on HBO in early May.
While Montage of Heck was publicly embraced by Cobain's widow, Love issued a cease-and-desist order against theaters planning to show Soaked in Bleach, Deadline exclusively reports.
"The Film falsely presents a widely and repeatedly debunked conspiracy theory that accuses Ms. Cobain of orchestrating the death of her husband Kurt Cobain," her attorney wrote in the order. "A false accusation of criminal behavior is defamatory...which entitles Ms. Cobain to both actual and presumed damages."

J.K. Rowling Says 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' Stage Play Will Open in 2016...
The stage drama Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is to premiere in London next year, author J.K. Rowling announced.
The scribe who penned seven Harry Potter novels, which were adapted as eight blockbuster movies, revealed Cursed Child is an "untold part of Harry's story," however she insisted it is not a prequel. Rowling offered no other details regarding the tale and what other characters from the Potterverse might appear in it.
"Today is a very special day for two reasons. Firstly, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was published in the U.K. 18 years ago!" Rowling wrote in the first of several tweets Friday.
"I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year," she continued. "It will tell a new story, which is the result of a collaboration between writer Jack Thorne, director John Tiffany and myself. I don't want to say too much more, because I don't want to spoil what I know will be a real treat for fans. However, I can say that it is not a prequel! To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't #CursedChild a new novel? - I am confident that when audiences see the play they will agree that it was the only proper medium for the story. I've had countless offers to extend Harry's story over the years, but Jack, John and Sonia Friedman are a dream team! It has been a huge pleasure to share with them (and soon, with you!) this untold part of Harry's story."
New Celebrity Babies and Their Unique Names...
It's baby season! At least, it has been for our list of celebrity parents who've welcomed new bundles of joy into their families in the last year.
The newest addition to the celebrity baby club is actress Jennifer Love Hewitt's second child, a son she and her husband Brian Hallisay named Atticus.
Little Atticus isn't the only new celebrity baby with an interesting name to start, many other celebs have chosen unexpected first names for their children. Listed are seven more of Atticus' fellow high-profile peers who also don unique, meaningful names born in the last year. Honorable mentions from years prior are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's child, North West and Beyonce Knowels and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy.
1. Cadence Gaelle Bridges
Newly married couple Ludacris and Eudoxie Mbouguiengu welcomed their first child together -- a daughter they named Cadence -- in early June of this year. The couple announced their newborn's arrival via Instagram, sharing their excitement and love. They used hashtags like "#blessings," "#blessed," and "#love" as bookends to their brief captions. In a recorded statement by the Ludaversal rapper, Ludacris thanked his fans for the "overwhelming" support from fans.
"Yes, I am up every three hours with the baby, but in the meantime, in between time, I'm still working. I work hard," he said. "As soon as you continue to build the family and continue to have more offspring, all it makes you want to do is work harder, get more money and ensure nothing but great success for everybody."
2. Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana
No doubt the royal baby has had her share of worldwide attention this year. The duke and duchess' second child was born on May 2 and was named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, after her grandmother, the late Princess Diana, and great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The new princess, who is fourth in line for the throne, was born a few days late, prompting a country-wide guessing competition of the British royal's birthdate. Just days before her eventual birth, the royal couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary; they are also parents to the young Prince George.
3. Silas Randall Timberlake
In an Instagram photo posted for Father's Day, new papa Justin Timberlake shared a photo of him carrying is first child, Silas, wearing a cute onesie with "I [heart] Dad" embroidered into it. "#HappyFathersDay to ALL of the Dads out there from the newest member of the Daddy Fraternity!!" he wrote.
Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel's new baby boy was born April 11 to ecstatic parents. In an earlier Instagram photo from the "Friends With Benefits" actor, Timberlake described his upcoming fatherhood and new baby "the GREATEST GIFT EVER." Silas Randall was named after both his father's and his great grandfather's middle names.
4. James Reynolds
The androgynously named newborn of actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively was welcomed into the world sometime just before 2015 rolled in, although the actual date remains mysterious. The newborn is both Reynolds and Lively's first child.
In a recent interview with Cover Media via Yahoo!, Lively dished on how fortunate she feels about being a mother. "It's also tough and I get, like, pooped on all the time, and barfed on," she told the outlet. "And if anything else did this to me, I would club it. But it's your baby and it's wonderful because even when it's tough, you just think, I'm so fortunate. That's why it's wonderful."
5. Genesis Ali Dean
Knockout R&B singer Alicia Keys and her music producer husband, Swizz Beatz, welcomed their second son, Genesis, to the family on Dec. 27 of last year. "The joy of joy is joy!! It's a boy!! we are so grateful!! #blessings!!," Keys wrote on an Instagram birth announcement. The newborn made his first Internet debut when his excitable mother posted a sharp black and white photo of the whole family alongside the caption "Blessings and Love!" in February. In March, the singer-songwriter posted an Instagram photo of her playing piano next to her newborn, hinting at some new work supposedly inspired by her motherhood.
6. Kaya Klitschko
The newest daughter of actress Hayden Panettiere and heavyweight fighter Wladimir Klitschko was born in early December. Little Kaya is Panettiere's first child, and told People later that month that post-pregnancy life is a lot different. "I'm limping around. I'm still trying to figure out what [pregnancy] has done to my body, how it's changed it. What's temporary and what's permanent," she told the magazine. But in many ways, the Nashville actress is "getting to know" the baby that was created inside her.
Adjusting to parenthood is "surreal" for the actress, "You're suddenly looking at this little thing like, 'Oh, that was you in my belly this whole time," she said. "[Kaya is] really so sweet," Panettiere continued about the many restless nights with her newborn, "I'm sure that's the way it's meant to be, because when they are putting you through the wringer you're like, 'You are so lucky you're cute!'"
7. Wyatt Isabelle Kutcher
The first child of That '70s Show couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis was born on the first day of Oct. of last year. Both of the new parents were euphoric about their newfound parenthood. In an interview on Conan that month, Kutcher said being a father is "unbelievable." It's the greatest thing on Earth. We're really privileged that we have time and can afford to take time. So we don't have a nanny or night nurse or any of the stuff. It's just the two of us," he said.
Kunis and Kutcher got engaged last February and fueled rumors of a secret marriage in March when Kunis slipped details about how they were "maybe" married. The first leaked photos of the family of three appeared on the Internet in early January, when they shared photos of them dressed in piggy outfits.
