Prince Harry practices being an uncle

Britain's Prince Harry practiced being an uncle, playing with a 10-month-old baby in attendance at the Warrior Games in Colorado, the baby's mother said. While on a weeklong tour of the United States, Harry attended the Warrior Games, an athletic event for wounded U.S. servicemen and women, held in Colorado Springs. While watching the events, the prince played with and made faces with 10-month-old Sebastian Wilkowski, who was there with mom Julia, 37, and father Kip, a 43-year-old retired air force pilot, People magazine reported Sunday. "[Harry] said, 'It's great to meet you' and asked, 'Who is this little guy?' And, 'You have a lot of hair for a 10-month-old.' He came closer and did a little small talk with the baby, and he just reached out and then made a little raspberry and funny faces. He made silly faces, and then he started blushing a little bit because he didn't think Sebastian would grab him," Julia said. "Then Harry went to walk away and came back with another funny face. It was cute." "He is wonderful with children," Kip said. "I think he'll make a great uncle. He was holding his hand -- all the things you do with babies," Julia added.

O.J. Simpson makes bid for new Nevada trial

O.J. Simpson will be in Las Vegas this week for a hearing on his request for a new trial on robbery and kidnapping charges, his lawyers said. The former football star will likely be on the witness stand Wednesday to answer questions about the 2007 incident at a Las Vegas hotel room that landed him in prison for 33 years. "I think we have a lot of evidence in our favor," lawyer Patricia Palm said. "I believe in my heart that he didn't get a fair trial." Simpson was originally convicted of barging into a Las Vegas hotel room with a group of co-defendants in order to retrieve a collection of Simpson sports memorabilia. Two of Simpson's companions were armed. The Nevada Supreme Court in 2011 rejected Simpson's effort to have the conviction overturned. His latest appeal is largely based on allegedly insufficient representation by his trial lawyer, the Las Vegas Sun said. Simpson did not testify in his original trial, which he now contends was a mistake on his attorney's part. Simpson, 65, had been a free man at the time following his acquittal in a sensational trial on charges he killed his ex-wife, Nicole, and Ron Goldman outside her Los Angeles home in 1994.

It's Kristin Chenoweth...

Actress Chenoweth receives honorary Ph.D.

Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from her alma mater, Oklahoma City University. Chenoweth graduated from OCU with a bachelor's degree in music in 1990 and a master's in opera performance in 1992, The Oklahoman reported. She left the school determined to make a name for herself in the entertainment business, she said Saturday after receiving the award. "Nothing was going to stop me," she said. Since then, she has won a Tony Award for her performance in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and an Emmy Award for her work on the television drama "Pushing Daises." Chenoweth said part of the credit for her success goes to OCU, as the university offered her the right combination of training and performance experience.
