The veteran pop legend has long been keen to work with the "Poker Face" hitmaker and was thrilled when Gaga wrote a song for her new album.

Amy Winehouse Died in Bed with No Sign of Drugs Nearby...

Amy Winehouse may have been dead for up to six hours before a security guard found her body in bed at around 4 p.m. London time on Saturday.

The five-time Grammy winner last spoke to her security team at 10 a.m. Saturday, telling them she was going to sleep. Rigor mortis had set in by the time she was found, suggesting she had been dead for several hours.

Sources reveal that Amy, 27, had seen a doctor Friday night as part of a routine series of regular checkups, given her battle with addiction. The doctor saw nothing amiss.

Amy had been strong enough that same night to play a drum kit in her bedroom... so loud that neighbors complained.

Cause of death is not yet known; a toxicology report could take weeks to complete.

A police source says there was no paraphernalia or sign of drugs in Amy's Camden home, which became the scene of makeshift memorials following news of the Amy's death.

Amy's body was released to her family for funeral procedures. The official cause of death will be known in October.

Meester Sues Her Mom over Misused Money...

Leighton Meester has sued her mother Constance for spending money on herself. Money that the actress had been sending for the care of her brother Lex, who has medical issues.

Constance Meester used the $7,500 a month for cosmetic procedures, among other personal expenses, the suit alleges.

"This whole thing's been really tough on Leighton," a source says. "Her only concern has always been taking care of her brother. Leighton's really close with her brother and her dad. Her parents are divorced. Leighton's a sweet girl. She cares about work, friends and family."

The Gossip Girl actress, 25, claims her mother threatened to sue her for $3 million if she didn't raise the monthly allowance to $10,000.

Constance Meester has had legal troubles before. In the 1980s, she was convicted of helping a drug ring smuggle marijuana from Jamaica to the U.S... and gave birth to Leighton while in a Texas halfway house.

Another woman also won a restraining order against Constance earlier this year after alleged harassment.

Vanilla Ice warns Justin Bieber fame won't last

Rapper Vanilla Ice has warned teen sensation Justin Bieber to enjoy his success while he can, because his fame won't last.

The one-time hitmaker, real name Rob Van Winkle, was catapulted to fame thanks to his hit 1990 track "Ice Ice Baby." The first hip-hop single to top the Billboard charts.

But the star's fame was fleeting and he struggled to maintain his success, and Ice thinks Justin could suffer the same fate.

He comments, "I mean, I did 'Ice Ice Baby' when I was 16. So I can kind of relate a bit. Sold over a hundred million records. And I had a weekend that lasted about three years, and I didn't know who I was, what's my purpose in life.

"So my prediction about Justin is that he's going to go through one of those weekends that lasts a few years because he's had such success as a child act.

"Then something else new will come along and he'll be forgotten and he can try to put all the pieces back together, so it's going to be entertaining to watch."

Later, the rapper backtracked on his words, before clarifying, "I don't think he's going to be forgotten... I wish him all the best... I was giving him advice. When you're a child star, it's hard to figure out your purpose in life."
