Here's the Scoop...

Did you hear about 'Castle'? It has been announced that star Stana Katic will depart from the series after Season 8 finale. That's crazy! And Tamala Jones, who portrays Dr. Lanie Parish on the show, is also leaving. What the what?! I like her a lot. She's great on the show!

My wife and I have watched that show since the first episode, mainly due to our mutual crush on Nathan Fillion, who plays Richard Castle. He's the best! I'd watch that guy read a newspaper.

But what is to become of the shortened 9th season of the show? How is Castle going to work without Beckett? It's like Robin without Batman or Tennille without the Captain. How is this going to work? The viewers want to know!

Be Well,
Steve

LOOSE LIPS:
"That's where it's unfair: the judgment that is put on women for how we look. If you're looking bad, you have to cover up. If you're looking good, you've done something or made a deal with the devil."
--Olivia Munn, addressing the double standard that plagues women, to Fashion magazine

Julia Louis-Dreyfus on 'SNL' past: 'It was a very sexist environment'
Julia Louis-Dreyfus looks back on her time spent on Saturday Night Live only "fondly-ish."

"I did not come out of SNL as any kind of name. I didn't do anything particularly great when I was there. I didn't. It's fine. But I learned a tremendous amount," the actress said in an interview with The New York Times Thursday ahead of her hosting gig Saturday on the famed sketch-comedy series.

Louis-Dreyfus also explained to the publication how women performers during her time on the show from 1982 to 1985 were not given equal treatment.

"It was a very sexist environment," she said. "Since I've gone back, I can tell you it's much more of an equal-opportunity environment."

However, Louis-Dreyfus did thank Saturday Night Live for helping her receive a new outlook on her career moving forward. "I was on it for three years, and when I left, I made this conscious decision that I would not take any jobs that didn't seem as if they would be really fun," she explained. "That's very simplistic and Pollyannaish sounding, but really, I noted that. I'm not doing this unless I can have a deep sense of happiness while doing it. I've applied that, moving forward, and it's worked. So in that sense, I have SNL to thank."

The Veep star will be hosting SNL alongside musical guest Nick Jonas. In a promo video released Thursday for the episode, Louis-Dreyfus is seen flirting with Jonas, telling him how she's old enough to be his "biggest fan."

Which 'Mad Max: Fury Road' star said that her 4-year-old son is 'in love' with her co-star Emily Blunt?

Charlize Theron says her 4-year-old son Jackson is "in love" with Emily Blunt, her co-star in The Huntsman: Winter's War.

The actresses play sisters in the upcoming fairytale movie.

"My son is in love with her," Theron told TV's Extra.

"He thinks she's, like, the most beautiful princess ever. Yeah, it's crazy. I didn't even exist. He was just like, 'Ahhh, she's a princess.' I'm like, 'I'm a queen.'"
