Here's the Scoop...

Here's a bittersweet story to end the day...

Leonardo DiCaprio says late actress Darlene Cates was "the best acting mom" he's ever had.

The 42-year-old actor paid tribute to his What's Eating Gilbert Grape? co-star in a Facebook post Tuesday after Cates died Sunday at age 69.

"Darlene was the best acting mom I ever had the privilege of working alongside," DiCaprio wrote.

"Her endearing personality and incredible talent will live on in the memories of those who knew her, and those who loved her work. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time," he said.

Cates' daughter, Sheri Ann Cates, had announced in a Facebook post Monday that the actress died "peacefully in her sleep" March 26.

"It is with a bitter-sweet heart that we share that our precious wife, mother, and Gaga, Darlene Guthrie Cates, was called Home, somewhat unexpectedly, peacefully in her sleep Sunday morning," she wrote.

Cates played Bonnie, the housebound mom of DiCaprio and Johnny Depp's characters, in the 1993 movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape?. DiCaprio was nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role as Arnie in the film.

"All these girls say, 'Oh, you had Leo hanging on you!'" Cates said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2014.

"For me, he was just this dirty little boy that kept hanging onto me, trying to stay in character. I mean, they had that kid dirtied up good," she joked. "Trust me girls, it was no big deal."

DiCaprio will star in The Ballad of Richard Jewell with Jonah Hill, and is also slated for an adaptation of the Stephan Talty book The Black Hand.

Now, get ready for 'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' reunion, 'Trading Spaces' returning, and more...

Jodie Sweetin's ex-fiance arrested for violating a restraining order
Jodie Sweetin's ex-fiance Justin Hodak was arrested Monday after he violated a recent restraining order taken out on him.

According to People magazine, Hodak was put into handcuffs after he was seen driving in front of Sweetin's home in Sherman Oaks, Calif,.

The arrest marks the third in just over a week for Hodak.

The Fuller House star was granted a temporary restraining order against Hodak who was told to stay back 100 yards a day before a rep for Sweetin announced that their relationship was over after two years of dating.

Hodak was said to have "engaged in violent arguments with Sweetin, in which he threw objects at her," according to court documents and that "following a prior break-up with Sweetin, he came to the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, where Sweetin works as an actress, demanding to see her and engaging in a dispute with the security guards there. He also waited for Sweetin to confront her at her children's school."

Sweetin, 35, also said that Hodak, 40, had threatened to kill himself using a 9 millimeter pistol.

The actress received protection for her family including her two children, daughters Beatrix Coyle, 6, and Zoie Herpin, 8, her mother Jane Sweetin, 67, father Sam Sweetin, 82 and her assistant Lauren Hussey, 29.

Another court hearing is scheduled for April 14.

'Deadwood's' David Milch joins Nic Pizzolatto for 'True Detective' Season 3
True Detective series creator Nic Pizzolatto is being joined by David Milch (Deadwood, NYPD Blue) for the third season of the HBO hit, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The news has not been confirmed by HBO.

Pizzolatto has written at least two episodes, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Season 1 of True Detective premiered in 2014 and starred Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson and Michelle Monaghan.

McConaughey, who played Rust Cohle, said on The Rich Eisen Show in December that he "wouldn't hesitate" to return to the HBO series if the new season "was written well."

The second season of the anthology series premiered in 2015 and starred Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch and Vince Vaughn.

In August, HBO head of programming Casey Bloys talked about the possibility of a third season during the Television Critics Association press tour.

"It's not dead," Bloys said.

"We are hoping for a third season. It's a very valuable franchise for us," he continued.

Which former Parks and Recreation co-stars will host 'Handmade Project'?

Former co-stars Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are teaming up as the hosts of The Handmade Project, a new competition series.

NBC said it has ordered six episodes of the show.

"I'm thrilled to be celebrating artists who make things by hand, and I'm looking forward to finally conquering my fear of paper mache," Poehler said in a statement Tuesday.

"People who make things are my favorite kind of folk. Practical, clever and terrific in a pinch," added Offerman. "That makes me tickled pink to have a front-row seat at this prodigious display of talent, and admiring and cheering on an amazing crop of American makers. Plus, Amy and I have a strong tradition of tomfoolery, so let's see if we don't have some good fun."

"With millions of mass-produced products, a handmade item can be the most valuable treasure one can possess because it's one of a kind and made with love," remarked Meredith Ahr, president of Universal Television Alternative Studio. "We are thrilled that Amy Poehler's first venture into the unscripted space is so refreshingly unexpected and original, and can't wait to see Amy and Nick back together again!"

In addition to being an actor, Offerman is an author and the owner of Offerman Woodshop in Los Angeles. He and Poehler played Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope on the sitcom Parks and Recreation, which ran on NBC 2009-15.
