Here's the Scoop....
Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are once again in the running
for country music gold! CMT announced its first-round finalists
for the CMT Music Awards, and the two singers both picked up
nominations.
Carrie's "Cowboy Casanova" is nominated for both Video of the
Year and Female Video of the Year, and Taylor's "You Belong
With Me" is in the running in the same categories. Also up for
Female Video of the Year is Kellie Pickler with "Didn't You
Know How Much I Loved You."
Also up for best video, which can be awarded to male, female,
group, duo or collaboration, are Kenny Chesney, Toby Keith,
Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban
and Zac Brown Band.
The CMT Music Award will premiere live from Nashville June 9 on
CMT.

Jenny McCarthy, Jim Carrey Split...
Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have called it quits after five
years of dating, Jenny's rep confirms.
"I'm so grateful for the years Jim and I shared together,"
Jenny says in a statement. "I will continue to be in his
daughter's life and will always keep Jim as a leading man
in my heart."
A rep for Jim comments, "Jim and Jenny have recently decided to
end their five year relationship. They are gratefulfor the many
blessings they have shared and wish each other the very best."
Jim posted on Twitter, "Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr
relationship. I'm grateful 4 the many blessings we've shared
and I wish her the very best! S'okay! ?;^>."
The former couple have been outspoken about not getting married,
but Jenny recently joked that they were considering walking down
the aisle.
"We say 'never,' but I don't know," she said at the 8th Annual
World Poker Tournament. "Maybe for tax purposes, someday, when
we are old."
"That's what we keep joking, like, when we are 70! But for now,
we're fine. We are really fine!" she continued.
Jenny also recently said she was "really excited" to become a
grandmother after Jim's 22-year-old daughter, Jane, gave birth
to son Jackson in February.

Maura Tierney Returns to TV After Battling Breast Cancer...
The former ER star will reprise her role as Denis Leary's love
interest Kelly McPhee on Rescue Me.
Denis says that Maura is already taping scenes, but they won't
appear until Season 7 airs in 2011.
The actress dropped out of NBC comedy Parenthood last September
to undergo treatment. She returned to the stage in February,
appearing in North Atlantic in Los Angeles..
"Maura has finished treatment and is doing very well and is
happy to move forward with the next phase of her life,"
Christina Papadopoulos, Maura's rep, said in a statement.
Maura received an Emmy nomination for playing Dr. Abby Lockhart
for 10 years on NBC's ER.

Preemie Josie Duggar Released From Hospital...
Preemie Josie Duggar, who was born at just 25 weeks, is coming
home!
"We are very happy to report that little Josie is being released
from the hospital today," her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle
Duggar said in a statement.
"And while we have plenty of practice bringing babies home, this
time is very different," they continue. Josie, the couple's 19th
baby, has been in neonatal intensive care since her December
birth, in which she weighed just 1 lb, 6 oz.
The family plans to stay close to the Arkansas Children's Hospital
in Little Rock for the rest of April "to be on the safe side,"
Jim Bob and Michelle tell Us, "with the entire family returning
home to Springdale in the near future."
The couple added, "We are deeply grateful to the staff at Arkansas
Children's Hospital. And as always, thank you for the continued
prayers and support."
Josie's homecoming will be featured on 19 Kids and Counting: Josie
Comes Home, to air Sunday, May 9 at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.

Jon Gosselin Sues Kate for Primary Custody...
Get ready for another round of the Jon and Kate Gosselin fight.
The exes, whose bitter divorce played out in the tabloids, are
at it yet again. This time, it's about their eight children.
Jon has just filed papers asking a Pennsylvania judge for primary
custody as well as a review of the child support order that is in
place, reports TMZ. Primary custody is currently Kate's, and Jon
is required to pay $20,000 a month in child support.
On Tuesday he threatened the suit, describing her as an "absentee
parent" because of her stint on Dancing with the Stars, which
shoots in Los Angeles. Kate retaliated soon after, saying she's
"a single working mom [who] will do everything necessary to
provide for my kids despite the opinions of others."

Corey Haim Obtained 550 Pills Illegally Before Death...
Three months before his March 10 death at the age of 38, Corey
Haim obtained more than 550 prescription pills illegally,
California Attorney General Jerry Brown said Tuesday.
The former teen idol got the pills, which included Valium,
Xanax, Vicodin and Soma, through seven different doctors, who
after speaking with investigators, claim they were duped. He
was an alias on at least one occasion.
Last month, it was announced that Corey's death was linked to
an "illegal and massive prescription-drug ring" after
investigators discovered an "unauthorized" prescription in
Corey'sname while looking into fake prescription pads.
The L.A. Coroner previously confirmed that four prescription
pill bottles in Haim's name were recovered in the Hollywood
apartment where he collapsed. All were prescribed by a doctor
treating the actor.
Although police mentioned an overdose as a possible cause of
Corey's death, the official determination is pending toxicology
tests.

Prince William Set to Propose to Kate Middleton?...
What has long been a royal whisper, that Prince William is
prepping to pop the question to Kate Middleton, is now a roar
so loud that the Palace is seeking to quell it.
"We don't comment on speculation," CNN was told by William's
official residence, Clarence House, while Britain's Telegraph
reported that a spokesman for St. James's Palace declined to
comment, and quoted a source as saying that any suggestion of
Buckingham Palace's preparing for November nuptials was "wide
of the mark."
But even so, America's Today show also joined the royal wedding
bandwagon, zeroing in on journalist Tina Brown's Daily Beast
report of Tuesday, in which she cites June 3 and 4 as being
"mysteriously blocked out" on the Palace calendar, possibly for
the announcement of an engagement, with the Prince, 27, and
Kate, 28, then tying the knot in November.
And, while the royal family's engagements are generally not
publicized this far in advance, a source was happy to say on
Wednesday that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duke of
Edinburgh, will be making an official visit to Plymouth,
southwest England, on one of those days, June 3.
