Wow it seems like Spring has barely to sprung and I'm already
getting invites to graduation parties? Feels to me like someone
has us in fast forward. For all kinds of parties you've got
coming up this is one of the all-time fave recipes with the
kiddos and my bowl always comes back empty. I just need to
keep it in mind to have the ingredients on hand and it's no
problem to whip up. Ironic that a recipe for CARAMEL APPLE
SALAD is kind of a cheater that doesn't even have caramel
as an ingredient at all? Go on, try it!

Enjoy! Marzee

* A cake will stay fresher if you cut an apple in
half and store it with the cake.

* One pound of apples (3 medium) yields 3 cups pared
and sliced or diced.

* Apples will not crack while they are baking if you peel
a 1-inch band around the middle or top.

* Lemon juice is good to prevent discoloration of apples,
most fruits - mushrooms too.

* Apple juice added to a ham or meat loaf will make a
delicious difference and makes it more juicy.

* Try apple pancakes for a change. Simply mix apple
slices into the batter.

* For a different taste use 3 different kinds of apples
when baking a pie.
