Ephesians 2:8-10

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!
Ah, the backyard pool, it brings back such memories. My
father painstakingly put up a small three foot high pool
every summer. It was always such an undertaking, probably
made more difficult with all of us "helping" him.
First we had to remove the patio, brick by brick. Each one
of these bricks was brought home in the basket of Dad's
bicycle which he rode to work every day, since we didn't
have a car. It took quite a while to build that patio in
the first place!
Anyway, once the bricks were out, the pool ring and wall
went in; that usually took quite a few "helpers" and it
caused quite a few pinched fingers as well! Then came the
liner and the water. By that time all the neighborhood kids
were lined up ready to jump in along with us, and it stayed
full all summer long!
Having now gone through the whole procedure ourselves as
parents, I appreciate my father's efforts more than ever
before. It was a hot and sweaty job, but it was an act of
love that he repeated many times through the years. One
that we're glad to perpetuate.
