Happy Days Star Tom Bosley Dead at 83...

Tom Bosley the folksy father of Richie Cunningham on the '70s
sitcom about the '50s, ABC's Happy Days, died Tuesday in his
Palm Springs, Calif., home. On Oct. 1 he had turned 83.

The actor died of a staph infection.

Before finding fame on the small screene, Tom won a Tony for
starring as the beloved New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia
in the Pulitzer-Prize-winning 1959 musical Fiorello!. He also
made a memorable mark in the 1964 Peter Sellers cult comedy
The World of Henry Orient, as the too-understanding husband
of Angela Lansbury's character.

After Happy Days, he would frequently costar with Angela on
her CBS series, Murder She Wrote.

Reacting to Tom's death, his Happy Days costar Henry Winkler
expressed his sadness, telling Los Angeles's KNX-1070 News
Radio, "I'm in shock, I really am. I spoke to him just a
few weeks ago and he seemed to be getting his strength back."

Ironically, Tom's death comes only a few days after that of
another iconic '50s TV parent, Barbara Billingsley, of Leave
It to Beaver.

No pre-nup for Russell Brand & Katy Perry...

Russell Brand wants to steer clear of a pre-nuptial agreement
when he weds Katy Perry because he fears the very idea will
wreck the big day.

The funnyman is convinced he's found 'the one' in Katy and is
looking forward to a simple wedding day, reportedly next
weekend in Jaipur, India.

Russell comments, "I'm trying to preserve and make it a
beautiful thing... Really, love between two people is the most
spectacular and ordinary thing in the world... I want to make
our wedding just about me and her loving each other and we're
getting married in front of our friends and family and keeping
it normal.

"So it ain't selling the pictures, ain't doing no pre-nup.
(But) it's like a normal thing. It's hard to make it normal
because there's this inflation of this toxic gas of celebrity
billowing into it."

Does Taylor Swift Diss John Mayer in New Song???

It's never been a secret that Taylor Swift writes her songs
about guys who come in and out of her life.

In fact, her new album, Speak Now, is filled with tunes about
herlast two years of relationship ups and downs, and she
doesn't hold back. "This is album number three, so I figure
that these people have had fair warning," Taylor reveals.

So is her new song "Dear John." A biting ballad with lyrics
about an older guy who "messed with" her. Could it be inspired
by John Mayer?

The pair collaborated on a song together last year, and bonded
over a dinner in Nashville in January.

When asked if the song was about the singer, Taylor widened her
eyes and avoided answering the question.

"A lot of times when people's relationships end, they write an
e-mail to that person and say everything that they wish they
would have said," she explains. "A lot of times they don't push
send."

The message on "Dear John," which is due out Oct. 25, includes
lines such as "Don't you think I was too young to be messed
with." John is 33, and "Maybe it's you and your sick need to
give love and take it away."

"This was a tough one to write," says Taylor, "and I guess
putting it on the album was pushing send."

*-*-* GUESS WHO *-*-*-

This actress was an emotional wreck filming sex scenes for her
new movie, and "cried every single day" she had to strip off
for the cameras...

It's Anne Hathaway...

Anne hooks up with her "Brokeback Mountain" co-star, who plays
a Viagra salesman, in the new film.

But she insists she's nothing like her free-spirited character,
and was an emotional mess when it came time to bare all for
the racy scenes.

She tells Vogue magazine, "These (characters) are people who
have no trouble taking their clothes off - in a way, their
bodies are their currency. But they're terrified of exposing
their vulnerability, of becoming emotionally naked.

"I was a wreck from start to finish. I think I cried every
single day. I had to lean so much more heavily on everyone
around me than I'm used to. I'm used to pulling my own
weight. But I totally fell apart."
