Here's the Scoop...

My wife and I have fallen behind in our television viewing of 'Castle'. Now, that it has been canceled we've been attempting to finish off the final season.

We have seven episodes left and we're very eager to see how the Castle/Beckett story gets wrapped up. If you've seen it, please don't spoil it for us.

I'm sad to see it go, but I think it was the right time. Now where will I get my Nathan Fillion fix?

Be Well,
Steve

Bobby Brown on Bobbi Kristina: 'We could have been better'
Bobbi Kristina Brown's parents failed her, her father said in an ABC interview scheduled to air on 20/20 Tuesday.

Bobby Brown told Robin Roberts he and Whitney Houston "could have been better. We should of been better," People Magazine reported.

Bobbi Kristina died after being found unresponsive in her bathtub last June. She was 22 years old.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined that a combination of drowning and drug intoxication killed her. A toxicology report also showed she had marijuana, alcohol, "a cocaine-related substance," sedatives, anti-anxiety medications and morphine in her system at the time of her death.

"It's not a mystery to me," Brown told Roberts. "The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney."

Brown took some of the blame, but also pointed toward Bobbi Kristina's live-in boyfriend, Nick Gordon. He said Gordon was the only person around both Houston and Bobbi Kristina near their times of death.

Gordon, 26, is the one who found Bobbi Kristina unresponsive. He was never charged by authorities in connection with her death and has publicly denied any wrongdoing.

"He knows what happened," Brown told Roberts. "I don't know what happened that night. But he does."

Houston had taken Gordon in to live with her and Bobbi Kristina when he was just 12 years old and going through a tough period. She never officially adopted him, but Gordon was raised in Houston's house. He and Bobbi Kristina began dating after Houston's death.

"It's a funny thing because when I wear this big hair, because I'm so tiny, my husband always says I look like a Q-Tip. It's nothing but a big white wad on my head!"

AC/DC's Brian Johnson's hearing condition improving
While a hearing condition has sidelined AC/DC's Brian Johnson from the Australian band's current tour, he's reporting that his treatment is going well.

He is trying Stephen Abrose's ADEL hearing technology and reports "It works."

"I was really moved and amazed to be able to hear music again like I haven't heard for several years now," Johnson said. "I can't wait for it to be miniaturized so I can use it in every situation from normal communication, going out to noisy restaurants, to performing live music on stage," Entertainment reported.

Johnson has said previously that despite the severity of his hearing loss, he has no plans to retire.

"My doctors have told me that I can continue to record in studios and I intend to do that ... I am hoping that in time my hearing will improve and allow me to return to live concert performances. While the outcome is uncertain, my attitude is optimistic. Only time will tell."

For now, Guns N' Roses' Axl Rose has replaced Johnson on AC/DC's Rock or Bust World Tour. That tour kicks off in the U.S. Aug. 27 in North Carolina.

Ambrose reached out to Johnson via YouTube after he revealed that his hearing issues were threatening him with total hearing loss, Rolling Stone reported.

Ambrose is the creator of a wireless in-ear monitor that acts like a synthetic eardrum to absorb harmful sound pressures.

"Brian, I introduced Guns N' Roses to in-ear monitors in 1990 and I'm a big fan of Axl Rose's voice, but let's be clear: I'm with Roger Daltrey on this, I really can't imagine anyone but you singing 'Back in Black,'" Ambrose said in the video.

Which 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' cast member got the lead in 'Pacific Rim' sequel?

John Boyega, star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has been named for the lead role in the second installment of Legendary Pictures' Pacific Rim franchise.

Pacific Rim: Maelstrom, directed by Steven S. DeKnight, will begin production in the fourth quarter of this year, Deadline reported. It is based on a world created by Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham.

The 24-year-old Boyega confirmed his roll in Pacific Rim on Twitter. He said he was "so happy" to come on board as both an actor and a producer.

He is slated to play the son of the character played by Idris Elba in the original film, which was directed by del Toro.

Legendary Pictures plans to produce Maelstrom with Upper Room Productions, a company Boyega and agent Femi Oguns set up earlier this year, BBC reported.

Universal plans to release the film worldwide, except in China. The original film in 2013 grossed $411 million.
