Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all are getting ready to spend your day with loved ones. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of all. I can't wait to create more memories today with my family, and of course all the good food we consume. Remember to be thankful for everything you have!

I'm sending this out earlier than normal because I am featuring some great tips and hints for all you shoppers that are heading out later today or tomorrow for those great sales!

Black Friday is the busiest day to shop. There are so many deals, special sale hours, doorbusters, it can really overwhelm even the most seasoned shopper.

Hint 1: Start with a budget

This is the most important factor in holiday shopping. It's important to be responsible with your spending, so create a budget and stick to it. It's too easy to find a "great deal" (or ten) and before you know it, your cart is full of impulse buys. Stick to a list and shop with cash only to guarantee that you don't overspend.

Hint 2: Know the store policies

Familiarize yourself with each store's price matching and/or coupon policy. Keep in mind that many stores have created special price matching policies specifically for Black Friday. Price matching could save you a trip or two, but you need to know that they'll accept it.

Hint 3: Get that phone ready

Your phone will be your best partner in shopping. Make sure it has a full battery! You should also download a price comparison app or two (and make sure it has a scanner).
