Greetings fellow Bizarros:

There seems to be a little national disparity going on here.
I just read a story about a 74-year-old Canadian woman who
was attempted to cross the U.S./Canadian border into New
York earlier this week.

She wanted a waiver to enter the U.S., which is not
uncommon, but when officers then ran a routine criminal
record check, they learned she had an active felony warrant
issued in 1980 by the New York City Police Department. It
seems the cute, little old lady has a 30 year-old marijuana
charge.

She was arrested on the outstanding warrant and extradited
to New York City where the senior citizen will face charges
of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Meanwhile...border authorities say a Michigan man driving
into the United States was caught trying to smuggle thousands
of Ecstasy tablets in his pants.

A customs agent says Nimat David had approximately 9,000
tablets duct-taped to his calves and thighs hen he crossed
the Ambassador Bridge into Detroit from Windsor, Ontario.

In a court filing, agent Mark O'Hare says Nimat said two men
at a Windsor casino offered him $1,000 to transport the drugs.

So apparently, the United States is doing all of the leg
work here, Canada (if you'll pardon the pun). How many little
old ladies have you arrested recently?

Bizarrely,

Lewis

-------- Police: Man attacked for not holding door --------

BOSTON - Boston police said two women attacked a man with
their fists, feet, purses and a plate of pasta because he
neglected to hold an elevator door for them. Investigators
said Kenyana McQuay, 27, and Waltia Funches, 28, told
officers Mohammed Warsame "didn't hold the elevator door
open as they walked into the building" so "they had to
use their fists, their bags and their feet to teach him a
lesson," the Boston Herald reported Monday. Police said
Warsame was also covered in pasta from a plate of noodles
the women dumped on him. He told police he tried to fend
them off by throwing bottles of water. The police report
described the suspects as "extremely agitated,"
"uncooperative" and "verbally abusive toward officers."
McQuay and Funches were both issued summonses to appear
in Roxbury District Court to face assault and battery
charges.

-------- Driver drank beer while talking to police --------

BRADENTON, Fla. - Police in Florida said a 68-year-old man
who refused a field sobriety test after being involved in
a car crash drank a beer while talking to troopers. The
Florida Highway Patrol said Elmer Daniels of Bradenton
initially switched seats with his wife after a collision
with another vehicle just prior to 8 p.m. Tuesday, but
four adults in the other vehicle identified him as the
driver, the Bradenton Herald reported. Daniels, who was
drinking a beer while talking to troopers, admitted drink-
ing beer in his van and had finished nearly two beers
before the crash. A police report said Daniels told
investigators he usually drinks a six-pack of beer each
day. Daniels was arrested and charged with driving under
the influence with property damage or injury. He was
jailed in lieu of $16,500 bond.

Lewis, You say you have a fear of midgets. I'll bet you
don't know that a midget is a small person who is in good
proportions for all their parts. You probably meant a dwarf.

[I was always a little uncomfortable with Gimli.]

In the accountants defense; 16,000 times in one month is an
average of over once per minute on an 8 hour day, or once
per hour over the entire day. Sounds to me to be more like
mal-ware trying to access a site, however, the accountant
more than likely had to go there at least once to have
gotten the mal-ware on his computer. Overall, though, you
have to wonder how much guys like Bernie Madoff were paying
these guys to look the other way. -Maygyver
[How much do you don't think the SEC commissioner makes in
a year? A man's gotta eat!]

Nero fiddled whilst Rome burned. The guys at the SEC did
similar, but with themselves, whilst the world burned.
Have they been crucified yet? -Steve
[All of the politicians for the last 40 years need to be
crucified first for all of the money they have stolen from
the American people. Then we can get down to the petty
thieves like the SEC and Bernie Madoff.]
