Proverbs 6:16-19

These six things the LORD hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

The above scripture has always amazed me. Sowing discord and a false witness who speaks lies--these sins are ranked right up there with hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans. If you are ever tempted to sow discord, (e.g. make this person mad at that person, or spread tales, that this person will think badly of that person), remember how God hates this. Even more sobering is that God hates a proud look just as much as all of the other sins listed above. If you have a tendancy to have a proud look, I encourage you to repent and ask for the Holy Spirit's help in erraticating this sin!

God Bless You!

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Don goes into business for himself. He buys a hotdog cart and sets it up in a prime spot on a busy downtown corner, right near a large bank.

One day, his friend Jim approaches him and asks Don if he can lend him some money.

Don refuses.

"But why?" asks Jim. "Everyone knows you're doing well, and I'm not asking for much."

"Well, Jim, in order to get this spot I had to sign a Non-competition Agreement with that bank over there. According to the terms of the agreement, they don't sell hot dogs, and I don't lend money."
