John 14:1-7

"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.

I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."

...Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

As a child, I anticipated Christmas Day for weeks in advance. There was the hope of presents, the relief of time off school, the prospect of lots of good food and treats, and the fun of decorating the house for the holidays.

While this may sound like a positive thing, unfortunately, most days during the rest of the year were filled with quite a bit of anxiety, conflict, and fear. As believers, because of the joy of salvation, we have the privilege of celebrating the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus every day of our lives.

That "holiday anticipation" can and should be ours each day, not just one day in December!

Have a Merry Christmas every day of the year!

God Bless You!

--FEATURED FUNNY:

The children of our parish in Tokyo had been practicing their Christmas play. Right on cue, the innkeeper said, "There is no room."

Noone was prepared for Joseph when he turned to Mary and said, "I told you to make reservations!"

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. Who was the most famous person born on December 25th?

A. Sir Isaac Newton, Clara Barton, Humphrey Bogart
(to name a few)

My vote would be for Sir Isaac Newton! As you may already know, the Bible does not give the date of Jesus' birth and the known facts indicate it was not December 25th!
