Jon 38:34-36

Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
That an abundance of water may cover you?
Can you send out lightnings, that they may go,
And say to you, "Here we are!"?
Who has put wisdom in the mind?
Or who has given understanding to the heart?

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Many people write asking about prayer: Am I being a nuisance when I keep praying for the same thing, does God really hear me, does God really care about the little things, is God really listening when things keep getting worse instead of better, is there a "magical" prayer that I can say to really get God's attention???

God's promises are for every person on earth; He does care, He does listen, He does hear. We are His greatest creation and He yearns for us to come to Him with our every need.

God Bless You!

--TODAY'S BIT OF WISDOM/REFLECTION:

"The happiest people are rarely the richest, or the most beautiful, or even the most talented... Their eyes are turned outward; they are aware, compassionate. They have the capacity to love."

-Jane Canfield

--FEATURED FUNNY:

Aunt Edna was sick, and Uncle Roy, who was fixing her a cup of tea, called out that he couldn't find the tea. "I don't know what could be easier to find," she answered. "It's right in front on the pantry shelf in a cocoa tin marked MATCHES."

--ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION:

Q. What was the name of the girl who answered Peter's knock at the door after he was miraculously released from prison in Jerusalem?

A. Rhoda

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. When she recognized Peter's voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate.

Acts 12:13-14

Have you ever been so excited that you did something silly or foolish? You are in good company! You can just see this girl Rhoda being so excited that Peter was there at the gate that instead of letting him in, she ran off to tell the others, leaving him standing there at the doorstep! What a time of thanksgiving that must have been when they saw him with their own eyes and heard the story of his miraculous release!
