Ephesians 4:20-24

But you have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Greetings Bible Enthusiast!

Many prayers are already answered for us in the Word of God. Here is an obvious example. We knew of two Christian couples; the husband of one and the wife of the other began to become interested in one another, so much so that they began seeing each other socially and praying for God's will in their relationship.

They both eventually left their spouses and children to pursue their own relationship, claiming it was God's will. What a LIE! God's will was that the husband should love his wife, that the wife should submit to her husband (who begged her to stay), that this man and woman should flee temptation, that they not covet their neighbor's spouse, that they not commit adultery, and that if their right eye caused them to sin, they should pluck it out!

If they had been obedient to God's word, there would have been no anguish, no sorrow, no sin; they would have squashed the original temptation.

Remember when you pray, first and foremost to be obedient; that in itself will answer many of our prayers!

God Bless You!
