Hello Animal lovers,

When I used to live at my parents house, I used to stare out at their little pond/lake that is off the backyard - there was all kinds of wildlife, herons, Ibis, Swans, geese, ducks, frogs, all kinds of fish, raccoons, and even a few beavers.

I have to say, at first we all thought they were muskrats, since beavers and otters seemed too exotic for our small pond. But one day, I got close enough to one to notice its flat beaver tail, and then it ran into the water with a big loud SLAP. Later I found some chewed-up logs that were really cool (I saved one, and would like to turn it into a shelf one day!)
