This BAKED BANANA BLISS recipe really is a clever one and the
name alone makes me want to run home and make some right now.
It is on the heavier side (the name alone kinda of gives that
away) and stay away from those "nanners" that are nice and
over-ripe and bound for a banana bread recipe you'll use firm
bananas for this recipe. Best way to serve this is no doubt
over some French Vanilla ice cream. Yum!

I like that you can roll these in chopped nuts or coocnut
or even try mini candies before freezing too...get as
creative as you want!

Tip: for healthy too you can even just freeze a ripe banana
in aluminum foil. Once frozen remove the foil and eat as a
natural fruity freeze pop! So there we have a little something
for everyone.

RECIPE: BAKED BANANA BLISS

INGREDIENTS:
4 Tablespoons butter
6 firm bananas
4 Ounces cream cheese, softened
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1 Cup heavy cream
whipped cream for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter. Slice bananas lengthwise. Saute quickly over
high heat. Place 1/2 of bananas in buttered 8 x 8-inch dish.
Beat cream cheese with sugar and cinnamon. Spread 1/2 of
mixture over banana. Top with remaining bananas and spread
with remaining cheese mix. Pour cream over top; bake in 375
degrees oven for 20 minutes. Serve cool garnished with whipped
cream or warm over vanilla ice cream.

RECIPE: FROZEN BANANA POPS ON A STICK

3 bananas
6 wooden ice-cream sticks
1 cup orange juice
1 cup milk-chocolate pieces
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup chopped peanuts (optional)
3/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)

Cover baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside. slice peeled
bananas in half crosswise and insert stick. Dip into orange
juice. Place in freezer untill firm. Melt chocolate peices
and vegetable oil in top of double boiler. Spoon melted
chocolate evenly over bananas. Chocolate will harden fast,
so work rapidly. Roll coated bananas in chopped peanuts or
shredded coconut. Serve immediately or wrap in plastic wrap
and freeze.

Yield: Serves 6
