Greetings...
Ginger and Moosie are in the garage building an Ark so they can
sail around the backyard to find a place to go potty. For the
past three days, it has been raining, raining, and then after
a few minutes of no rain it starts to rain again...
It's always "feast or famine" around here when it comes to rain.
Most of us in Arizona walk around in a constant state of "rain
deprivation", and are thrilled when the Summer Monsoon arrives
to drop a few much needed raindrops...
It's supposed to continue for days and days, and I won't say
that it isn't good for our water reservoirs, or the ski slopes
in the North country, but for those of us in California and
Arizona and even Vegas that aren't used to this...

I guess it's the human's penchant for never being satisfied that
has us all begging for it to stop. California, Arizona and Las
Vegas are getting hammered with intense rainstorms and although
it's nice to see dry riverbeds flowing with water, the cold, damp
air seems bone-chilling to us...
My heat is blazing away and I still can't warm up when I look out
at the dark, dreary sky. I already warned my mom and sister to
not expect some sunny Western weather this week, and when I came
down with a sore throat and the sniffles on Tuesday, it looked
like I might not be able to meet them. I still feel like "doggy
doo" and would never go based on how I feel. The only reason I
am going is because of the call to my mom and the disappointment
that came over the phone loud and clear even though the "mom" in
her was more than understanding...
I hung up the phone, took some Nyquil and spent the day in bed
doing everything I could to try to make myself feel better. My
mom called me later in the day to see how I was feeling and when
I said "a little better", you could just hear the excitement in
her voice. I told her not to worry, I would be there, even if I
had to spend more than the usual time in my room resting...
The "usual" amount of time I spend in my room in Vegas is about
3 hours...

Who knows, maybe I will feel even a little better before I go. We're

I did ask Flyboy to give me a hand in Vegas in case I need it. He
agreed to prop me up in front of a machine in case I am too weak
to do it myself...
