Greetings...

After a month of waiting for new grass to grow with nothing more than
a few blades of grass sprouting, plan B went into effect last Friday...=


Toward the end of Summer, the grass started looking unusually bad and
started dying in large areas. Our landscaper took some soil samples
and it was determined there were Grub worms in one area of the yard,
and rabbit poop, which is like acid on grass...

He treated the whole yard and waited before seeding until the soil
samples came back negative, which they did within a few weeks. He
overseeded the yard twice and Flyboy and I even bought extra seed and =

threw it down to make sure Moosie and Ginger would have a lush playground=
...

The birds were having a field day eating the seed and because patience =

isn't one of my strong suits in some cases, and even less in the poochies=

case, we had the whole yard dug up and re-sodded last Friday...

As the lush green pieces filled up the yard, the wonderful aroma of
grass filled the air. The fence went back up to protect it from
the poochies...

Flyboy bought "liquid fence" which is supposed to keep rabbits far, f=

away from areas you don't want them in and sprayed everywhere a rabbit =

had ever been, could be, and might be thinking of going!

Everything was done to insure the new lawn would grow successfully...

Until...

That night, while watching TV, I noticed the dogs hadn't been in the hous=
e
a while and decided I better peek out there to see what they were doing. =
I
laughed out loud and told Flyboy he better come to the door, he wasn't =

going to believe what I was looking at...

He sat up straight and said, "Are there @#*&^%$$ rabbits in t=
he yard???

I giggled and said..."Only two"...He didn't get it until he came to t=
he door.

There, on the freshly sodded lawn were two of the BIGGEST rabbits, I thin=
k
they call them "Great Dane Wabbits". They were prancing, rolling, che=
st
bumping and in seventh heaven...

When Moosie saw me at the door, she came out of the area and stood next t=
o
me like she had NO clue how Ginger got in there and Ginger, clueless as=

ever, continued to run in circles, roll around, and try to coax Moosie =

back in there...

UNTIL...

Daddy came out, then it became a game of "chase me daddy" around and =
around
the yard while I laughed myself silly and Moosie chuckled under her breat=
h.
Of course this went on a few minutes until Ginger got bored with daddy an=
d
pranced out of there...

Moosie decided she wanted in there and there was nothing that was going t=
o
stop her, she worked the fence loose and then bent the five foot fencing =
in
half to step over it, into the area with the nice new grass. Ginger follo=
wed
close behind as usual...

Moosie was just smart enough to know when to get out of there...

Flyboy repaired the fencing, put it all back together and lo and behold,=

an hour later, Moosie was surveying an area she felt might be a "weak l=
ink".
Drastic measures then had to be taken. At every possible "weak" area,=
there
are patio chairs, patio tables, BBQ grill, and anything else that may hav=
e
been on the patio...

Mission accomplished, she hasn't been able to get in there since. (so far=
)

Although my lawn may end up looking great when it's time to take everythi=
ng
down, right now the patio looks like someone out of Jerry Springer lives=

here...

As for the liquid fence? Two rabbits were lazily grazing this morning whe=
n
I looked out. A few years ago, I used an ultrasonic unit with success. Th=
at
was then, this is now, it got too annoying when the pups kept setting it =
off when

they were outside horsing around and barking at it because it emitted an =
owl-like

sound...

It ended up soundling like this in my back yard...

"Hoo, Hoo...woof, woof, woof, woof"...
