Greetings...

I didn't advocate the policy and actually feel that government is
involved in our lives Way too much as it is. The problem is, however,
that there are those who rely on the government to take care of EVERY
part of their lives when they should step up and take control of
their own lives and responsibilities...
I have discussed the sad state of our welfare system many times and
it's something that continues to impact the whole country on a daily
basis...

This isn't necessarily a rant on welfare today, it's more of a pondering=
on how and why the government IS in our business too much and the answer=
may seem complicated, but I think there is a simple part of the reason...=
The lack of responsibility, the lack of accountablility, and the biggest=
thing in my opinion...Lack of common sense!
Why is there a need to have thousands of laws on the books to tell us
what we should already know and have the common sense to do without
government imposing a law telling us what we should or shouldn't do?
Don't blame government, blame US!
I'm not against laws and strict enforcement of some laws such as drinking=
and driving because the fact that someone is behind the wheel driving is=
already showing a reckless disregard for themselves as well as those they=
are endangering and the alcohol impairs their judgement to begin with...=
If an adult doesn't want to wear a seatbelt, the consequence could be
severe injury or death, but again, that's a consequence of poor judgement=
.
Seat belts and car seats for children. Unfortunately, that law had to be=
put on the books because adults were not responsible enough to know their=
children should be protected. No common sense...
There is a growing trend that is being passed down to the younger generat=
ion
and that is that consequences are not important and accountability is
something blamed on someone else. The govenerment is also guilty of this=
by not making welfare recipients responsible and accountable for actions=
that continue a cycle instead of finding solutions to break the cycle...=

abuse, the younger generation ran with it and began their own cycle of

True abuse is another story and should be enforced, but the door has been=
opened for false reporting and vindictive calls that are based in nothing=
more than revenge. This is true with physical as well as sexual abuse...=
Many lives and reputations have been ruined because of the government
stepping in without the facts...
I would bet the farm that most of the laws that are currently on the book=

could be eliminated if people started thinking and using their brains! =
Where did basic common sense go and how do we get it back, or is it
too late?
On the subject of obesity, I still believe no one puts a gun to anyone's=
head to order five Big Macs and if your own kid is throwing a temper
tantrum because he/she can't sit and eat a bag of candy, the government=
isn't your problem, YOU are the problem. It's time to take back the
control from the government...and the kids...
