Greetings...

So, how was your Halloween? Ours was pretty darn quiet, although Moosie=

and Ginger greeted all 10 kids that showed up. Because Moosie can open =

doors, we keep the screen locked and remove a center panel to hand out =

candy...

It makes it easier than having to hold them back and try to hand out
candy at the same time. The only drawback is that they are tall enough =

to stick their heads through which gave a few kids rounding the corner =

to the door to, at first, stop, then realize these too goofballs were
waiting to be pet...

And boy did they get the attention! Kids ended up hanging around for =

awhile just giving Moosie and Ginger the love. The kids left with
handfuls of candy since we bought three mega-bags at Costco and needed =

1/3 of one bag (if that much)...

They also left with wet hands, arms, and faces thanks to the big wet
slobbery kisses they got with their candy. It was disappointing to
have such a small amount of kids, but as I said in Friday's column,
not really surprising...

My next door neighbor decked out his house in full Halloween splendor
complete with flashing lights, talking pumpkins, and dressed in all
black ala the Grim Reaper to jump out at the kids. FLyboy and I walked =

over there to see what he did this year and he was REALLY disappointed =

in the lack of traffic given all the work he did...

I took a few pictures of the pups at the door (or out of the door) waitin=

for the little humans called kids. They aren't too used to seeing kids =

but behaved very well and left the kids with a good impression after the=

initial OH MY GAWD!!!
