Greetings...
According to a story in London's Daily Mail, men are more likely to tell
lies than women, not to say that women don't lie. The amount of lies
told by men outnumber women's 3 to 1...
This study polled 3,000 men and women, and while the small number doesn't
really give concrete evidence in my opinion, I thought it would be "fun"
to give some of the results with my take and of course, your opinions...
25 percent of men and 20 percent of women lie to their mothers...
I don't know if I believe this one because I believe girls grow up being
manipulators and lie more than boys when it comes to their parents and
actually, in general...
Men lie because they are forced into it...
In some cases I think this is true because a man will tell a lie to
"keep the peace". Some examples are...
No honey, you don't look fat in that...
I didn't have that much to drink...
There were no strippers at the bachelor party...
Angelina jolie is ugly...
I love your mother...
Women lie to prevent "getting in trouble"...
This old thing? I've had it for years...
"It", (no matter what "it" is) wasn't that expensive. They may actually
shave off a few bucks to make the lie stick...
Men can also use the same lie when it comes to buying something that his
wife may find frivolous...
And, no one can deny the infamous "woman's lie"...
NOTHING is wrong, I'm FINE...
This one of course means the poor guy has no chance to get out of it alive...
So, what do you think? All kidding aside, I think we've come to a point
in society that lies are told so much, no one believes the truth when
it is told!
Everyone tells white lies and I think they are needed at one time or
another, but I know some people who lie so much I wouldn't believe
them if they told me my name is Jamie!
I do believe that lies and manipulation seem to go hand in hand and if
you happen to get a feeling that someone is trying to get something from
you, there's a good chance there are a barrage of lies leading up to the
"hit"...
:-)
Have a great weekend everyone!
