Greetings...

When the public expressed worries and concerns about the full body
scanners being used at airport security checkpoints, long-term
effects of low level radiation was one of the reasons, pilots being
the most concerned due to the amounts they already receive by flying
as well as the amount of time they spend going through airports...

The other concern was the issue of privacy and the ability of the
TSA agents to see the public completely nude. Because both of these
reasons got so much coverage and attention, the TSA came up with
"Plan B" which is turning into a nightmare for the public...

If a passenger refuses to go through the body scanners, they will now
be subjected to what I consider sexual molestation by glorified security
guards getting paid 10.00 bucks an hour in some airports. The "new and
improved" security measure is a full body pat down and not with the
back of the hand as was previously done. No siree folks, these agents
are now allowed to legally grope, squeeze, rub, and do what they want
in the name of security and "protecting" us...

The head of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano "understands" our
concerns and instead of coming up with an alternative plan, tells us
we are free to make other transportation plans to alleviate our outrage...

Oh yeah? Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone COULD do that and send a
message. I guarantee the Airlines, airports, and businesses at the
airports would take up the cause to prevent their revenue from tanking
because of alternate travel plans...

There have already been plenty of incidents with people feeling violated
at the pat down or grope down" with one pilot for U.S. Airways getting
so rattled at the extreme grabbing and rubbing of his genitals that he
became physically ill to the point of throwing up and not being able to
report for work after he went through security...

A newsman and his family were traveling with his three-year-old little girl
and became hysterical when an agent began the molestation. He actually
filmed it and the poor little kid is seen hanging onto her mother for
dear life screaming "Stop touching me"...

Isn't that what we try to teach our little kids early on when it comes
to strangers? Are pedophiles watching this and figuring a way to tell
little kids they are airport workers to lure them into God knows what?

That's not crazy thinking, it's worried thinking...

I don't have to tell you how Flyboy and his co-workers feel about this,
although ask any pilot about the scrutiny they go through and they will
probably all say the same thing. Since 9-11, flying changed and one
thing that changed is that guns getting through security didn't cause
the tragedy, box cutters didn't cause the tragedy, the PLANE caused
the deaths of people in New York. Given that fact, a pilot carrying
a machine gun on the plane wouldn't cause the loss of life that the
silver bullet he is flying could...

One young guy stood up to the TSA this week. When being groped he
point blank told the agent, "touch my "junk" and I'll have you arrested".
I don't have to explain what "junk" he was talking about...

I sincerely hope everyone that flies and even those who don't will
think long and hard about this issue and if you feel this has gone
too far, make your voices heard. Write letters to your Senators,
Homeland Security, AIRLINES, and anyone else you think may have an
impact on this. I have already started my letters, and plan to
do whatever I can to make my voice heard...

I will bet that some religious group will fight this and may get
preferential treatment to exempt them from the groping and I will
argue that the rest of us have the right to the same exemptions and
dignity...

Radiation or molestation...Wow, that's some choice!!!
