December 3, 2010

Greetings...

There is a court case going on right now in New York over an incident
that happened in 2003 on an American Airlines flight from New York to
San Juan, Puerto Rico...

This is one of those lawsuits that make you shake your head and be
suspicious about the claim and the amount of money being asked for...

In a nutshell, a beautician from Puerto Rico and her five-year-old
son were going home on the American Airlines flight. According to
Monserrate Luna, she was eating a meal while watching a movie on the
flight and couldn't swallow a mystery piece of meat she had in her
mouth and spit it out. She claims she "wanted to die" after she realized
she had just bitten down on a...Lizard

She claims her five-year-old confirmed she had just eaten an "animal".
She claims she got ill afterwards...

She is asking for...15 MILLION dollars!!!

American Airline's lawyer claims the inedible mass she bit into was
chicken skin and not a Lizard. He also said there "may" have been
some feathers, or what looked like feathers...but there was no
lizard...

Alrighty then...

I guess the "evidence" is nowhere to be found which could clear this
whole thing up, but a few things have made me suspicious on both sides
believe it or not...

A five-year-old as the sole witness when a group of flight attendants
could have, or should have been notified immediately makes you wonder how
much he was "coached"...

15 million dollars for eating a Lizard? People eat worse on reality shows
for a lot less, although they do it voluntarily...

The lawyer's statement about possible "feathers" is also troubling as if
to say, "a jury will forgive a few feathers over a Lizard". If there was
a feather or two on the mystery meat, does that mean it wasn't handled or
cooked properly?

I may be wrong, but this sure smells "fishy" or "Lizardy" since there is
no evidence. While it may have happened, why do I think someone is trying
to hit pay dirt with a disgusting story that could sway a jury to "stick
it to a big company"???

If this person is trying to pull a fast one, I'd make sure the cost of
the trial and charges associated with it are passed along to her, and if
her case is proven through some kind of evidence or testimony, then I
DO hope American Airlines is held accountable to the max...

These types of frivolous lawsuits not only clog up the court systems,
but take away from much more important ones...

Before I leave you, I want to share something with you regarding a handy
gadget that I'll just bet most of you could have used in the past or will
need as you're unwrapping some of your Christmas gifts this year...

One thing I don't like is trying to open those
"impossible-to-open" jewel boxes/plastic cases that all the
electronics, gadgets and just about everything come in...

I don't know about you, but I can't tell you how many times I have
bought something in one of these plaastic "hermetically sealed"
packages that cause me to work up a sweat, let loose with a tirade
of words out of the same mouth I kiss my mother with!!!

Finally something that makes this easy. The OpenX Dual Blade
Universal Package Opener, and let me tell you it spares you
from getting your fingers cut, your teeth broken, not to
mention the frustration involved in reaching the product...

The unique dual blade design allows you to use the retractable
blade to pierce the plastic and then insert the hook of OpenX
to Push and Slide to Get Inside. The retractable blade is short
so when cutting open boxes, you won't cut the contents inside...

Click the link to check out the details. With the holiday season
almost here and lots of packages coming and going, you're going
to want to have one of these in the house! Personally, I'd put
oneof these in with any gift that is encased in "super plastic"...

Open X Dual Blade Universal Package Opener
Open those RIDICULOUSLY hard to open plastic packages with ease...
