from Christian The Lion DVD... This will warm your heart!

May 3, 2010

Greetings...

Well...On Friday, the painter called. He talked to Flyboy and at
this point, I don't know if he called because he got my "friendly" =

note, or he had a case of "conscience". He made no mention of the
china, but told Flyboy he would pay for the blinds...

Flyboy told him the designer was coming on Saturday and we would
send him the bill for replacement. I have been searching Replacements, com=

for my pattern and so far, no luck, but I haven't spent a lot of time =

looking since I have been busy, busy getting the house back together...=

Saturday, I picked out replacement blinds and luckily, she had my orignal=

paperwork which showed how much I paid eight years ago. I'm sure he's not=

going to be happy when he gets the bill, although I actually spent $300=
.00
less this time because they didn't have my orginal blinds. That's the goo=
d
news, the bad news (for him), is the total price for all three windows =

came out to $2,200.00. The paint job for the living and dining room was=

$1,500.00. If I were to go after him for the fridge and the air conditi=
oning,
which also suspiciously quit working after the power washing, he'd have=

a heart attack! I will send him some kind of bill for the china as soon=

as I find the pattern or get some kind of rough estimate of replacement..=
.

I took pictures of the warped hanging blinds, and probably should have =

taken a picture of the designer when she saw them. Her facial expression =

was worth 1,000 words!

I've done my homework and have all the agencies' numbers to report him =

in case he decides to change his mind, and if need be, I'll take legal =

action if I have to. Luckily, I have a dated blog entry with the whole =

incident for what it's worth and there's always the "threat" of posti=
ng
his business' name and number all over the Internet to "help" him wit=
h
his business...

Crystal Nail File 2-Pack
The Latest Innovation In Nail Care...

Normal Price: $14.99
DEAL PRICE: $5.99 for two -- Get Two Sets (4 files) $9.98

Crystal Glass nail files are the perfect solution for shaping
both natural and artificial nails. The files are very gentle
on the natural nail and with regular use can help prevent
splitting and peeling and they give a lovely smooth finish.

Extremely hygienic... unlike other nail files, the Crystal
Glass nail file is not porous and cannot absorb water and
create an environment for disease (bacterial or fungal). Plus
they can be disinfected, boiled or sterilized by any known means
or simply washed under hot running water.

Mostly you're going to love how they provide a smoother filing
process. NO MORE JAGGED EDGES...

Great for acrylic nails and in the place of a pumice stone. These
files feature two levels of abrasion.

We'll see what happens, and I'll go out on a limb and show some faith
that he will do the right thing. Keeping my fingers crossed. My blinds =

won't be delivered for 5-6 weeks, but I'll be sending him the copy of
the bill right away since I already paid for them...

I'd like to thank everyone for their opinions and suggestions to help
resolve this matter. It's interesting that only one person placed the
blame on us for not moving the china and not keeping a closer eye on
what was going on. The china was safe the whole two days of the paint
job and the painters didn't break it, the owner did, the owner that I
might add, didn't do a thing for two days and was barely here the whole=

time. He showed up to get paid and decided to "help" the last five =

minutes...

I would have never assumed the blinds were out in the front yard and
because the doorways were taped and sealed in plastic, we had no cause =

to go out in the front yard. If I had gone out in the front, I'm sure
I would have had the painters bring them back in right away. I loved
those blinds and would rather have them instead of having to get new
ones...

The same goes for the tripped outlet and air conditoner. The air was on=

two days before the house was power washed and painted because we had a=

few hot days. It cooled off and we had no need to turn it on until a
few days after they were done and there is no way we would have suspected=

an outlet had been tripped when there was power still on in the rest of=

the laundry room...

Nah, I don't think any of this is our fault...
